Great design, poor performance
I am a disabled vet who has a hard time bending over and I was looking for something to pickup brass. This is a neat design but has very poor performance. For the cost of a mostly plastic tool, it is really junk. Save your money and invest in a good pair of knee pads.

Pretty good for brass recovery
Not having a brass recovery tool before I thought I’d give this a shot. It was pretty good at picking up brass from grass and concrete. Not ideal for rocks.

Better than the nut wizard.
Works great. There is a technique to it and of course you can’t pick up A whole day of practice brass at once It works better than the nut wizard of which I have as well Not that effective in tall grass but great for dirt and sand. Got a better deal on Amazon then anywhere else because they wanted to charge $20 shipping which is just crazy to me. Stay safe

Very cheaply made, save your money.
Does an average job of picking up casings on concrete but doesn't work in dirt.

.broom a cheaper and better way
Wouldn't pick up anything smaller than 223 brass on a concrete surface. Even worse on grass. I set it aside and used my trusty broom and dustpan.

Absolutely useless as a brass picker!
This Compact AMMO-UP is not really compact. But even more worse, it does not work at all on normal outdoor shooting ranges. Neither empty shotshells, nor empty 9mm or .357mag brass or anything else. It just doesn't work

YES!!
No more bending down to pick up pent brass cases at the range. It takes a bit of practice to develop the correct method to pick up brass, and sometimes it takes two or maybe three stabs at picking up a particular piece of brass or two, but it works and works very good. Be glad my aching back!
