What a tool! Wow...
This is easily the most eye-opening tool purchase of the last year. These little things are incredible - the power and light weight are astonishing. Needs the 5.0 HO battery to produce the full rated torque, but still does very well without it. Liked it so much I also bought the 3/8" version.

M12 Stubby vs M18 Mid torque comparison
I'm a professional flat rate tech. This gun for its size has a boatload of torque. Any car or small SUV lug nut (100ftlb or less lug torque) come off like nothing. Itll do 130-150ftlb jeeps/tahoes/f150s, but the inital time to break it free is longer compared to the m18 mid torque. Compared to my M18 Mid torque, the motors in this gun spin faster. So after the inital break away they spin off faster. Also for installing lug nuts, they spin on considerably faster. With that being said, break away torque is still better on the M18 mid torque, despite having only 50ftlb rated more torque. You can tell the anvil on the mid torque hits harder than the stubby. Did rear hubs on an impala the other day, had to use a universal swivel 18mm to access 2 of the bolts. The stubby did not have enough blow, with the universal socket, to break away those bolts. The m18 mid torque ripped them off with no issue. The main benefit on this gun is the weight and compact profile. I have the 5ah high output xc battery, which is the only one I would use because its considerably more powerful than the cp2.5, and it allows the gun to stand on its end easier. Compared to my m18 mid torque with a 5ahxc battery, the gun is noticeably lighter. Also squeezing into tight spots, like caliper bracket bolts or suspension bolts its much easier with the stubby. All and all, it's a fantastic addition to the professional automotive tech. If I was just starting out, this would be the one I would get. If it cant break it free, you can always break it by hand first, but most day to day stuff you come across will break away with this gun.
