The balanced weights on the head allow it to move to the floor of the pool, but do not make it too heavy to maneuver. You can see what is going. I found that reducing the flow to the main drain (use the gate valve or place a temporary piece of vinyl over it) really increases the suction and efficiency of this vacuum. I used this to open my pool this year, and pulled a few nails, staples, and a good 3-4 cups of 1/4" gravel from the bottom. You do need to watch your pump basket levels and empty them as necessary, or use a leaf canister to reduce the stop and go.

Great replacement for 10+ year old pool cleaning attachment. Cleaning ability is better than the original.

This works on my above ground pool very well. One of the brushes was loose in the package and fell out when i got it, but i wedged a piece of the plastic from the packaging in where the brush attaches and it has not fallen out again. The hose connection turns so the hose does not kink. The pole attachment moves up and down but does not swivel. But can easily be moved around the pool bottom. It is weighted to help keep it on the bottom, but not too heavy to lift it if you need to. The tool is kept just enough off the bottom that it does not suck onto the bottom, and can be moved right over any wrinkles in the liner. I have a sand pump, so there is plenty of suction to pick up sand and other debris. I think if i used the original pump, it would not have enough suction to pick up heavier debris. You have to purchase a handle and hose separately.

Still using it after 5(?) years.

I wanted to like this. It works great right where the hose is. So if something is under the triangle but not directly under the hose it doesn’t get picked up.

This weighted vacuum head works great in my 16' x 32' inground pool with a vinyl liner. Easily maneuvers and picks up debris in the deep end of the pool. The swivel hose adapter allows you to easily position the head in any direction for maximum flexibility. This unit replaced an identical one that I had for over 4 years which broke at the pole connection. I will not leave this one out in the sun, so the plastic does not degrade.

The entire product broke my first time using it. Just the minor pressure from the vacuum, kept the head at the bottom of the pool and when I pulled it up the entire top around the handle shattered.

Bought this for my inground pool. It works great and makes washing the poil really easy. It scrubs everything from the bottom and keep the pool really clean.

Works good. No issues. Seems a little brittle but can’t complain for the price.

It jams up, digs it, where the bottom of the pool is curved. Guess I’ll fix my old Hayward
