ARM & HAMMER Slide Platinum Easy Clean-Up Clumping Cat Litter, 37 Lbs

This litter works really well in a multi-cat household. It clumps firmly, does a great job controlling odors, and the biggest difference for me is how much easier it is to scoop and clean from the litter box. It doesn’t seem to stick to the bottom and sides nearly as badly as some other litters I’ve used. The 37-pound box also lasts a good while. Definitely one of the better clumping litters I’ve tried.

I’ve been running a Litter-Robot 4 for about a year with two cats, and I’ve tested quite a few litters to find one that performs well inside the globe without causing issues. I switched to ARM & HAMMER Clump & Seal SLIDE Platinum Multi-Cat about two months ago and it’s now the clear winner for my setup. The “Slide” non-stick technology really lives up to its name in the Litter-Robot. When the globe rotates and dumps the clumps into the drawer, almost nothing stays stuck to the interior liner — I rarely see any residue left behind after a cycle. With previous litters I’d often get bits of clay or softer clumps smeared on the walls or stuck in the sifting holes, which meant occasional manual scraping. With this Platinum version that almost never happens. Cleanup of the globe itself is noticeably quicker and easier. Clumping is strong and fast — urine forms tight, hard balls that hold together perfectly during the rotation and drop cleanly into the drawer. I scoop the drawer every 4–5 days (two cats, average usage), and the odor stays very well controlled the whole time. The combination of baking soda, odor eliminators, and the sealed drawer means the house doesn’t pick up any ammonia smell even toward the end of the week. Dust is very low when pouring into the unit (important since the LR4’s entryway can kick up dust if the litter is powdery). Tracking is also minimal — my cats don’t carry much out onto the mat or floor. The only small observation is that in very humid conditions the clumps feel slightly less rock-hard when they hit the drawer (still scoopable and solid, just a tiny bit softer), but it has no real impact on performance inside the Litter-Robot or on odor control. For anyone using a Litter-Robot 4 (or similar self-cleaning box), this is hands-down the best clay litter I’ve found so far. It maximizes the machine’s strengths: clean rotation, reliable sifting, low maintenance, and truly sealed odor control. My cats use it without hesitation, the unit stays cleaner longer, and I’m spending less time dealing with litter hassles. I’m not planning to switch unless they discontinue this exact formula. 5 stars — excellent match for the Litter-Robot 4 in a multi-cat home.

This is probably the best cat litter I’ve found and I’ve had cats for many decades. Lol. The litter clumps well, and as long as the cat covers their business, the litter covers the odor. The clumps are usually very easy to remove and definitely slide as the name implies.

I used the regular Arm & Hammer Slide litter for quite a while and was perfectly happy with it. When Amazon had a promotion on the Platinum version, I decided to give it a try. After using it, I switched my Subscribe & Save to this version and haven’t looked back. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It’s clean without being overpowering. I have a hard time describing it because it doesn’t have that typical “cat litter fragrance” that so many litters do. It just smells fresh, and it does a great job controlling odors. What really sold me, though, was the clumping. The regular Slide already clumps well, but I think the Platinum version forms slightly firmer clumps that stay together better when scooping. The difference isn’t dramatic, but it’s enough that my litter boxes stay cleaner and I spend less time scraping stuck litter off the bottom. I have two cats and use Litter-Robots, so good clumping is especially important. This litter has held up very well, lasts a long time, and has made litter box maintenance easier overall. If you’re already using the regular Slide and wondering whether Platinum is worth trying, I’d say yes. The improvements are subtle, but after comparing both, I think Platinum is the better product.

Litter works well with our Warcat self cleaning litter box. It contains excrement odor pretty well and is easy to clean up. The downsides however...the box it comes in is incredibly difficult to open and pour and leads to a very large mess. Additionally, there is a pretty strong litter odor straight out of the box so it is not dirty at all just very very strong.

I originally tried this litter after seeing it recommended by Consumer Reports, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have six cats and Litter-Robots, so litter gets a serious workout in my house. 😂 One of the biggest reasons I keep buying this one is that there’s no added scent. Some of my cats have issues with scented litter, so I specifically want something that controls odors without covering them up with perfume. This does exactly that. Even with six cats, the odor control has been excellent without my house smelling like fragranced cat litter. It also works really smoothly in my Litter-Robots. It clumps well and cycles through the robots nicely, which is especially important when they’re getting as much use as mine do. My six cats contribute exactly $0 to the litter budget, yet somehow expect clean, automated bathrooms around the clock. Thankfully, this litter helps their unpaid housekeeping staff keep up. 😂🐾 After trying it because of the Consumer Reports recommendation, it has become my go-to litter. No added fragrance, great odor control, and it works smoothly with my Litter-Robots. With six very demanding testers giving it daily use, that’s about as good an endorsement as I can give it!

I use it for my own cat and I’m delighted when I get to a house that also uses it. Scooping the box is a breeze. Sometimes fresher pee clumps stick to the sides of the litter box, but there isn’t the same amount of scraping that you get with other litters. And if the clump does break off into smaller pieces, it doesn’t disintegrate. You can still scoop the smaller chunks. Basically the clumps are nice and dense and contained, so they don’t crumble the same way as lighter litters and you end up wasting less litter over all ime. No dust at all, and it has a mild fresh odor. It covers smells so well that I frequently scoop mine directly into my uncovered bathroom trash and you can’t smell it at all. The only time my cat’s box smells is when she forgets to cover her poop, but that’s the cat being a goober and not an issue of the litter lol. It also doesn’t track too badly; again the only reason I get spillage is because my cat likes to bury her feet before getting out. But even then, the grains are dense enough that they’re easy to sweep up and don’t leave dusty pieces behind. It’s more expensive than a lot of other brands but since it doesn’t track much and the clumps are very well structured, you really don’t use a ton of it. I only get a new box every couple months. I will recommend this litter to anyone who will listen. Stop buying dusty cheapo cat litter. Love yourself.”

Cleaning the litter box used to be an absolute chore that required serious scraping and arm strength, but this litter literally slides right out of the pan without sticking to the sides or bottom at all. It cuts scooping time down to seconds and leaves virtually zero mess behind. Plus, the odor control handles multiple cats easily without smelling perfumy or masking smells with weird chemicals.

I like the fact that its scented. but I dont like it that the box was damaged. Initially I thought that it was only the external box which I can understand due to the handling. But the damage cause it to leak and some of the litter dribbled out of the box. Now I am not sure if the litter is damaged.

I’ve tried a lot of cat litters, and this one is easily near the top. Clumps fast, clumps solid, and doesn’t turn the litter box into a swamp. Cleanup is quick, and nothing breaks apart halfway through scooping. Odor control is legit. Like, “I forgot we even have cats” level. Dust is minimal too, which is appreciated by both humans and cats who don’t enjoy breathing chalk. The slide feature actually works, so the box stays cleaner and doesn’t need to be scraped like you’re doing drywall repairs. Yes, it’s heavier than some cheaper options, but that’s the price of performance. Bottom line: less smell, less mess, less rage while scooping. Worth it.

La mejor arena para gatos que he comprado hasta el momento, mi preocupación empezo pork mi gato tenía un ronquido al respirar y tocía en las mañanas (parecía que quería sacar una bola de pelo pero estaba tociendo), una de las causas que eso pueda empeorar es el polvo que suela la arena de su arenero, con este producto ya casi no lo he escuchado toser el sonido de su respiracion ya no se escucha obstruida cm antes, (esto no quita que no lo lleves al veterinario ya que puede ser asma felina o parásitos en los pulmones entre otras cosas) pero la arena le ayudo mucho con su condición además la casa no huele para nada mal y dura mucho más que otros, vale totalmente la pena, la pipí si se encapsula en un terrón grande como se ve en la foto y no se queda el plastico del arenero mojado en el fondo, sin duda volveré a pedirlo en cuanto se vaya terminando el que tenemos.

He probado varias marcas y esta ha sido la mejor arena hasta el momento. No produce nada de polvo, cubre los olores y es fácil de limpiar. No vi que dijera que tiene olor, pero se percibe un ligero aroma de la arena que huele rico, sin embargo, no es un olor fuerte como otras marcas.
