Here's a breakdown of my impressions, focusing on both the good and something to consider:Shun Quality, Unexpected Origin:The Shun Premier Carving Fork maintains the brand's reputation for quality. The stainless steel tines are sturdy, and the Pakkawood handle is beautiful and comfortable to hold. However, unlike my other Shun knives, I was surprised to learn this carving fork isn't made in Japan.Functional Design:The design of the carving fork is excellent. The tines are long enough to pierce roasts with ease, keeping your hands safely away from the blade. It functions well for various tasks, from carving large turkeys to transferring hot meat to a platter.Overall:Overall, the Shun Premier Carving Fork is a well-made and functional carving fork. The quality matches Shun's usual standards, and the design is well-suited for a variety of carving tasks. However, for the price point, some might be surprised to learn it's not manufactured in Japan.

The quality and feel is definitely worth the high price. Beautiful and well made.
