desertcart.com: Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO - Patented Active Noise Reduction (ANR), 5” HD Video Baby Monitor with 1 Camera, No WiFi, Hack-Proof,Pan Tilt Zoom, Interchangeable Lens : Baby

Review: Best Baby Monitor & Customer Support - I am very happy with my Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO. It's the only device that has excellent resolution, sound and range, and I've tried several. It also does Not depend on WiFi which was very important to me. Recently I ran into an issue with the battery life and Emma C. from their customer support team quickly helped me diagnose the issue and got me a replacement battery! It's rare to find great products that also offer amazing support, but Infant Optics provides both. I will continue to recommend Infant Optics to my friends and family.
Review: Best purchase you’ll ever make - This is the best product anyone could buy! I have been using it daily since 2021 and have had 0 issues. The camera moves so smoothly, the image is top notch quality, and the sounds are so clear. The screen is a decent size and you can easily see your baby breathing through it. I can detect the simplest chest movement with its incredible zooming feature. It’s literally the most used product for me in the past 6 years! Also their customer service is phenomenal, back in 2021 my son spilled apple juice on it and I emailed the company and THEY SHIPPED ME ANOTHER ONE FOR FREE without asking any questions!!!! I have seen my friends literally waste money on baby monitors that barely last a year. If you want the best value for your money and longevity of a product then BUY this product now!! It’s super durable and the battery held up for over 5 years of literal daily use. It took over 500 falls over the past couple of years for the screen to finally give up! But sounds still works great.

## Features

- ACTIVE NOISE REDUCTION (ANR): Active Noise Reduction (ANR) - Patent No. [11,875,769 B2] technology which filters out fans, air purifiers, heaters, and air conditioners, so what you hear is your baby, not static.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm worried about hackers — is this monitor safer than WiFi/app-based cameras?**
A: Yes. The DXR-8 PRO never connects to the internet. No apps, accounts, or cloud. It uses a direct private signal with 2nd gen FHSS for a private link between camera and monitor unit only. The way a baby monitor should be.

**Q: What is Patented Active Noise Reduction (ANR)?**
A: ANR is our exclusive patented technology — not found on any other baby monitor. It intelligently filters out constant background sounds like fans, purifiers, and HVAC, so the only thing you hear is your baby. Fewer false alarms. More real sleep.

**Q: Is it easy to set up and use every day?**
A: Effortlessly. Unbox it, plug it in, power it on — and it's ready. No app. No account. No subscriptions. No updates. A dedicated monitor that just works — instantly, reliably, every night.

**Q: Are the lenses interchangeable?**
A: Yes - and it's an industry exclusive. The DXR-8 PRO includes an optical zoom lens for crystal-clear close-ups up to 6× with digital enhancement. Prefer to see the whole room? Add the wide-angle lens, sold separately. One monitor. Every view.

**Q: What happens when the battery wears out after years of use?**
A: You simply replace it. The DXR-8 PRO features a user-replaceable battery — no tools, no hassle, no throwing away a perfectly good monitor. Designed to last through this baby, and the next.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid product
*by N***E on January 29, 2025*

I bought this largely for the interchangeable lenses, as the previous baby monitor was zoomed way too far in, and my wife and I are trying to keep track of a whole bedroom instead of a single corner...we have two toddler boys who like to violate curfew, and the 2 yr old is sneaky about it. Product works great so far. Key thoughts: Pros: 1.) The user interface on the monitor is superb. Has good feel, quality button clicks, etc. The things that should have dedicated buttons have them, and everything else is on a straightforward, easily navigated menu. Very nicely done UI. 2.) Video quality is good, and the wide-angle lens (bought separately) works better than I anticipated. Great for seeing who's out of bed and up to mischief. 3.) I'm always skeptical of advertised broadcast range, but the real world conditions on this are perfectly satisfactory. I am getting a signal through the brick wall of my house, and then 130 yards down the street to the main road at the entrance of my cul-de-sac (at which point I run out of room to walk further). It is reading 1-3 bars signal strength at that range. More than I need. 4.) Pairing additional cameras was extremely easy and nearly instantaneous. Nicely done feature. 5.) If any of the paired cameras are turned off (or out of range), the video monitor will ding at you, regardless of whether it is displaying that particular feed. The ding alert can be turned OFF in the monitor menu, which I appreciate - if an extra camera is turned off because I want to conserve the system, the dinging gets annoying quickly. But, I also appreciate the ding alert being available...I can foresee a kid-who-should-be-napping getting the bright idea to turn off the video camera while my wife is outside gardening. In this case, she would get an alert within seconds. 6.) The camera movement / scanning feature is quite smooth, and moves in very fine increments. Motor is whisper quiet. Awesome feature for a no-Wifi camera set-up. Cons: 1.) You get what you pay for. This camera system was 3x the price of the one we returned, and so it feels like an investment. If a kid breaks a camera, I'll be pulling it from their college fund. That'll teach 'em!
