iPod Touch 4th Generation Premium Replacement Screen & Repair Kit- White

My son dropped his ipod touch on the hard ground and got its screen cracked.So I did order the replacement kit from iCracked. It is delivered within a week even though I selected free delivery.First, I was very nervous before starting the replacement because I thought applie product is very sophisticated and need veryprofessional to do it. And yes, I watched the video on the youtube, which is around 45mins long. The youtube video is a MUSTTO SEE to make this micro-surgery end up with a brand-new screen. After I finished the most difficult part which is digitizer cableconnection, I tried to power-up the ipod and got the white screen. I thought cable is not connected correctly, and so repeated few times of disconnection and connection. But screen is still all white when turned on. I was frustrated and can't image how my sonwill be mad at me because he has a lot his personal staff in the ipod. So I did googling and got the answer.By doing 3-button reset (press and hold home button, volume up button, power-up button), Apple logo showed UP!!! Hooray!!!I am very pleased that I could prove myself as a Super-Daddy again.Thanks, iCracked, and your product and youtube video is really awsome.

Wow long instructions with video and paper ,took 3 hrs not 45 min. Every Sep has some caution like careful not to pull/ detach/ shred this site, antenna... complicated even for my engineer husband. He accidentally detached the WiFi antenna and had to fix it. IPod had a hard time rebooting after repair and needed customer assistance to tale us through extra steps. Screen fixed a n it works but will not turn off andbarely holds charge. Unless you have mad tech skills, just buy a new phone.

The manufacturer's product description made it sound like it would be a quick and easy job to replace the screen. They provide excellent instructions and a thorough video of how to do the job (on YouTube). Most tools you needed for the job were also included. All this being said, it is just really difficult to replace the screen. It took my husband many hours to make a couple of delicate electronic connections. I would recommend the job for someone who has had electronic experience. There are still dead spots on my daughter's iPod touch screen, but I think that is due to installation error and not the product itself!

I would've have given the 5 stars if I hadn't have had the initial screen arrive from amazon broken, it looked like amazon sent me a returned kit, poor packaging on Amazon's part, the box had a rip and the packaging was a lightly padded envelope where it wasn't enough to keep such a delicate product safe in transit. Now when I contacted iCracked and told them the matter they rushed a brand new screen inside a block of foam wrapped in bubble wrap, and it arrived within 36 hrs of me contacting them. The kit is a great kit, top notch tools , and great guide for the job. Will definitely use them again and will recommend them to anyone for iPod/iPhone screen replacements.

This is great for the beginner. Instructions are clear and easy to understand if you have basic technical knowledge. I like that you can send in the broken screen for recycling when done. Less work for me! Be aware that you will need some additional tools to help with the repair, namely a heat gun or hair dryer and super glue. The screen is held on by an adhesive bond so it gets a little messy.

My boyfriend installed the new screen, thank goodness because I never would have been able to do it. Although, when you install it check to make sure the screen works the screen was white. I called the Icracked and spoke with someone and they told me that it needed a system reset (holding the Home and power button at the same time, for sometimes up to a minute and a half). and if this didn't work then he said that it would have to get sent it. and thankfully it worked!! My screen seems good, I cant complain on the screen. but you need a handy man/woman to do this job. the video was a great help and resource.

It fit perfectly, but have to warn you that it isn't the easiest thing to install. Would suggest that if you replace the screen that you also have on hand, a new wireless antenna. You will probably have to also replace that. Cheap to buy, and will save you a hassle later..

it says it has everything you need and more which is bull cause you also need super glue,clamps, a knife and air duster which ARE NOT INCLUDED in the icracked repair kit therefore it does not come with everything you need and more the instructions say follow the video but how can you follow the video when you don't have the necessary equipment it costs more than its worth cause everything that is included(except the screen) i could get at a dollar store or even at kmart for less as for the screen i could have just ordered a new one and or even just take it to a vendor that could fix it i would not recommend icracked it sucks
