Grizzly G69915 Solid Maple Workbench Top 72" x 30" x 1-3/4"I purchased this maple top and one that was 96" long. Each was outstanding. No warps, no splits, knot-less (one had a very small knot that was properly filled/sanded). My wife said this one is beautiful. Spectacular is more like it, especially since it looks like it cost significantly more. Both tops were perfectly flat, well-finished, and professionally assembled.The underside is rough, has knots and other blemishes and is not sanded smooth; i.e., only the top is good. Some brands of maple butcher-block are assembled with steel cleats between the boards, which will destroy saw blades. The Grizzly tops are assembled using only glue.This top comes well packaged -- each side is protected with a 30" x 72" x 1/8" sheet of hard masonite, the sides and ends have heavy cardboard protectors and a cardboard box holds it all together.Grizzly e-mailed a recommendation of a lift-gate for the delivery truck driver to safely lower it to the ground, @ $34. Don't waste your money. My driver easily slid the box to the ground from the truck bed by himself even though a lift-gate was right there. I rolled it into the garage using a standard hand-truck, the driver assisted moving it onto saw-horses, we removed the packaging, and checked for shipping damage before he left.Keep it on saw horses for awhile for all sides of the wood to acclimate to the temperature and humidity of wherever it’s going. Do NOT lay it on concrete -- or it could warp.There is no indication on anything as to where these tops are assembled or where the wood comes from. The maple is very hard.Customer images show how these two maple tops were used.

I am extremely pleased with the consistency and finish on this piece. It is a gorgeous example of butcher block, very pretty Michigan maple! Shipping was quick and easy to receive, packaging secure. The piece arrived with no damage and no inconsistencies. The top and side surfaces are smooth and the stain appears durable and protective. The bottom has a protective stain as well, though it is a little rougher surface. Very heavy and solid. Extremely high quality, and it makes a beautiful and capacious desk top, it really invigorates my office. I had no experience with this seller, so was unsure what to expect, and this exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend and buy again.

Repurposed old kitchen cabinets in our garage and bought this top to use as a fold down workbench. It’s solid and very sturdy. Shipping was relatively quick and painless. The top was not bowed or cupped.

This tabletop gives me everything I need for my workshop bench. Trying to get bargain butcher block by buying this product has a good chance of be a big disappointment as this is not made from first quality, flawless, maple. Mine came in with numerous dark spots and imperfect grain that though unsightly, is perfectly serviceable. The packaging does give thorough protection in transit with hard board covering the top and bottom, plastic corner protectors and good corrugated cardboard wrapping the whole thing. I want to emphasize that these bench tops are heavy so get help moving and handling them.

This maple bench top is perfect. A great addition to my garage work bench. Well made and perfectly finished. It arrived fairly quickly with good communications from seller and shipping contractor. No damage from shipping and I could not be any happier.
