couldn't be happier! I love it
Just got this today, couldn't be happier! I love it. Yes, its as pricey as hell, well overpriced. Is worth $10 max, but as far as saving me time and money in copying the info out of the book and cutting and pasting said info into a format useful to me, then, yea, it"s worth the price! But it is a beautiful reference guide, laid out well thought in beautiful colors, I just love it! But. i admit i am a list type person and like my important info to be easily accessible. My ONLY beef with the guide is i wish it was twice as big, but, hey, i guess the guide creators figured it would fit well in a handbag. But that"s just my personal problem. So yes, I Do HIGHLY recommend the Reference Guide, it will make your life alot easier. It is beautiful, well thought out, and the format is gorgeous! HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY! Not disappointed in the least! Thank you for your time to read my review. I appreciate it! ;-D

Good, but not THAT Good
The reason I bought the reference guide was because I had searched the internet for the past two years and had found quite a bit of conflicting information, even in 80 10 10 groups. I figured that I would deal with the overblown cost and just go straight to the source to have accurate information. I am happy that I have the pamphlet, it's neat. I will use it in the future, however, I think the title is misleading. I'm relatively new to the 80 10 10 lifestyle so I was looking for a guide that spelled out everything that was okay for me to eat on the 80 10 10 diet and how to group them together. That is not what this pamphlet is about so I'm STILL a little confused. It lists every food including bread and animal products and what you can mix it with. It notes that the reason for this is for "clarity and completeness." I bet there are some people out there that would appreciate it, but I'm not one of them. I found it confusing. The way I was looking at it was that I was paying an inflated price so that I didn't have to go through the 80 10 10 diet book and write this all out myself. Now even though the reference pamphlet is quite clear about what I can and can't combine, I still have to go back through the book and figure out what I can and can't eat.It is very high quality laminated, colored pages. Easy to turn the pages. It is meant to be a reference guide after you read the actual book so it doesn't go into detail about anything.I really have mixed feelings about the pamphlet because it does have great food combining information in it and I know it's right because it came straight from Douglas Graham, but I also feel a little taken advantage of with the price and what I actually received. *Sigh* If you have the energy and the time, go find the info on the internet instead. That's my 2 cents.

Fantastic, but you only need the last page.
Got this for my roommate for his birthday. He's been obsessing over 80-10-10 and kept having to scour the internet to figure out which foods worked with which other foods. He was SO excited and used this all the time, including to harass me over my own dietary combinations. It is compact and laminated, so you can wipe food off if you get anything on it.Complaints: The table in the back is really the only part you need. The rest of the pages seem irrelevant and we only looked at them once. Also, it seems overpriced for what it is. I wish they would sell only the back table and charge significantly less.

not impressed
it's a nice little booklet but it is overpriced this Reference guide should be included in the Book 80/10/10 it is of great quality no questions but I was somewhat disappointed when I received it. And for that price I have expected something of more value then just a few pages of what goes along with other foods no information just listed food items but very little to no explanations

PRICY for what you get :/
I was expecting a bit more to this for the price. It is sturdy but very limited in content. I was expecting a detailed list of foods in each category. Not so.

80-10-10
The book arrived in a couple of days. The diet is working great. I love Graham's way of putting food together so it works to reduce fat for you.

Very Useful food combining summary for vegans to help avoid digestive problems
Whilst Dr. Graham is a 100 % raw foodist (one of the most famous, whose philosophies are amazingly simple and easy to follow), foods which mainly need to be cooked like grains, potatoes, beans and pulses are included in this guide; meat, fish and eggs are also mentioned. It might seem very expensive for the few sheets it contains (6 double sided sheets), but it contains a lot of concentrated information and if it helps you avoid digestive upset / headaches/ candida etc., or helps you really understand the raw vegan principles Dr. Graham follows so you can see if they work for you, then it is worth every penny. The basic 80/10/10 principles are included on pages 2 and 3 and it is laminated for kitchen use.The only part of using this which is not explained, possibly because it may seem too obvious (and probably isn't necessary for someone fully following Dr. Graham's principles) is how soon after the previous meal you can safely eat the next - this is basically when the previous meal has left your stomach, otherwise you are mixing foods unintentionally. As I understand it, "Eat when hungry" probably covers this - but roughly, fruit digests really quickly and may have left the stomach after 30 minutes (bananas up to 1 hour), a properly combined meal may take around 4 hours, an improperly combined meal much longer, and a diet too high in oils or fats can upset the whole system by interfering with carbohydrate metabolism. It is assumed that readers know that 80/10/10 refers to 80% carbohydrate, 10% protein, 10% fats/oils - the approximate % of calories which should come from each of these food groups.

What did I just buy?
I have NEVER written a review before but I feel I NEED to here… What a waste of money. It’s 6 pages of lists … lists of foods and if they are acidic, fats, proteins etc and then a kind of hard to understand table on what foods should and shouldn’t be combined. No info on why? Nothing about meal ideas for food groups. Very basic and not a book.

Five Stars
Very useful, fills the gaps left in the 80/10/10 book.

Incredible book - Life changing
This is the most important book on dieting I have seen in 27 years of being vegan. If you follow Dr Graham's advice, you WILL get healthier unless you are already an Olympian.
