Great replacement ball joint for Subaru
Used on 04 Subaru Forester. Solid replacement, went on as expected and matched the original that I took off. I'll use it again if/when the other side needs changing.

Bought two, one was manufactjured incorrectly and hazardous to drive on.
Poor manufacturing tolerance resulted in a joint that was 0.010” (0.25mm) too small, and was thus a loose fit in the steering knuckle and unable to be tightened via the pinch bolt. Definitely defective and if driven for any length of time, hazardous.I didn’t figure this out until after a test drive and a really bad clunking noise was there. After lifting the car again, I found that the clunking was the ball joint literally coming out of the knuckle and slamming back in. It was so loose the lower arm could be moved by hand. The only thing holding it in was the side of the pinch bolt - it was not being squeezed by the steering knuckle at all, despite being torqued slightly above spec. The second one I bought, intended for the other side, measured up to the original worn one. I installed that one and a short test drive is showing promise. These are not turbine engine blades, so close is usually good enough, but undersize by 0.25mm is unacceptable. Save your time, money, frustration and buy a ball joint from a manufacturer with better quality control.Update: Removed a star. The response from the manufacturer was essentially "We don't deal with customer. Take it up with Amazon." They showed no interest in taking a complaint and make no warranty for the part.Amazon was good with the refund process.

I dig it!
Cheap and did the job. No complaints. We'll see if she holds up on my Subaru Legacy.

Poor quality, failed in less than a year. No warranty.
Installed this less than a year ago on my 2010 Subaru Outback. Now, just 8 months later (maybe 10,000 miles), it is beginning to fail. It has come loose to the point that my suspension is rattling over bumps and I’m replacing it again now.
