However, the order was pending cancellation for almost a week. I messaged desertcart about it but they told me to contact the seller since its fulfilled by a third party. So I did. They said they've already dispatched it so unable to cancel. That is a pathetic excuse because they had a week to cancel it. Anyway now that I have received the product, it came with a broken queen and missing pawn. If you look at the images I posted you can see the low quality of the plastic. It's hollow and the surface has a lot of imperfections and scratches. And pretty much every piece has this. I would not recommend this low quality product, especially due to the bad customer service. I was surprised that the pieces were heavy in weight for the price charged. **Q: I need to buy a board too so would you recommend one for me please?** A: The base of the king and queen are approximately 1.5 inches/3.5 cm in diameter. So a board with minimum 1.75inch squares would be fine, as would a 2 inch square. Depends on your preference. Snug fit or a little more room. **Q: It’s coming with metal inside or is solid plastic?** A: I really don't know but I can tell you they are plastic BUT they are quite sturdy and weighty so there might be metal (or something keeping the weight at the bottom of each piece.) It's a nice set. **Q: What material is used to weight the pieces? Is it lead?** A: I do not know what material they use to weight these chess pieces. I have the triple weighted ones and they are quite heavy and feel solid. I’m guessing it’s some kind of metal. It’s probably is lead. But they’re well-made and sturdy.
