Was looking forward to reading this for a while now, and finally bought it. This book presents a first-person account from the singer himself, the formative years and his journey to becoming the greatest performer the world has ever seen. Excellent book.

An incredible, honest look into Michael Jackson’s life and creative journey in his own words. Truly a captivating read from start to finish—highly recommend!

I mean it is the birthday of the king of pop today and 5 stars is very less to define this man's legacy throughout is here and I am the same years old that the AC tied before which is 17 years. The book is amazing and the cover and the pictures are also very good every moon Walker should try it and it would be a very good experience to know about him to read about him.

This book is just wayyy to good its written by him about his life and there r actual rare photos of him and his brother in this .....The biography is just full of emotions .....Itgives me goosebumps while reading I am literally biased ....

Excited to read it! Keep in mind this book was originally published in the late 80's. There won't really be new infos for MJ enthousiasts. Maybe for new fans. It is still a nice piece of memorabilia to have if you love Michael Jackson.

As an MJ fan my answer might be biased, but nevertheless this was an amazing book to be able to understand and connect with my favourite artist in his own words and see the world the way he saw it and comprehend all the allegations made against him and how he responded to that. It made me cry a few times especially when he said that he was lonely and would walk around his neighbourhood to find people to talk to or even become friends with or when he said he didn’t want to die because of drugs and overdose etc because he knew a lot of artists died from those things and that made me think “oh Michael, if only you knew what the world and the people in it would do to you” but even the sad moments in his book made me reflect on how human he was despite being such an extraordinary person. Would 1000% recommend to anyone who feels like they want to see how Michael felt about his childhood and the creative process and meanings behind his songs or anyone who wants to get to know the King of Pop better.

Reading the first half of his story in his own words is something truly special!!!
