It is the best and most reliable option compared to others in the same price range. Screen is Clearly visible during day and backlight option is also there for night. +1 for this . again, if you're just going to measure heights indoors where a tape might not be so easy to use (vaulted ceilings, long walls) then save your money. Some measurers have a fold out probe so you can measure from the end. These have adjustable "measure from" settings like back, front, I find those settings to be useful as well and best if it can be set quickly rather than having a bunch of settings to go through. Very helpful during inside building measurements. Easy to carry. With out help of others we can easily and time effectively take the readings. Good quality make. During sunlight outdoor measurement can not get.

Go for it without even thinking. Reputed brand, has full functionality as the Bosch one. It is very accurate. Pouch comes along with it. Saves a ton of time compared to regular tapes. Only thing they can improve on is the visibility of the laser. If it is sunny or too bright, consider this as useless. I use it for interiors and no light has yet affected it. But as soon as I go outside in the sun to measure the plot or something, it fails most of the time. If it is not too sunny or evening time, then it will work properly as desired of course. I use it everyday, so despite the drawback, I won't reduce the star and would give full ratings. (Not talking about the functions here, but in short, it has all necessary units of measurements and ways of measurements like counting itself, excluding the body measurements, etc.) Just buy it for starters and you will not want to upgrade if using for interiors.

Battery Life is very bad Beep (Button Sound) stopped working. Tried with new battery too and did not work

I used last 2 years, Good product, not have any issues only one problem it's not used in mid day, due to heavy sunlight it's not reflecting.

(1) During the sunny days, the laser beam is not visible and we are not sure the laser beam is reaching/hitting the target or not. Measurement is not possible. 40m range meter is not meant for indoors. So, it is absolutely not meeting my purpose and not at all useful. (2) For long distance measurements, it is very difficult to maintain the stable beam with hand even for half a second. So, we need to use a stand or in other words , it is not a standalone instrument. (3) The button to measure the distance is not soft touch. Since it is not soft touch button, pressing the button disturbs the stable beam and hence results in error readings. I do not think I can maintain stable beam and get accurate measurements ever after practicing for several days. Now, I need to look for the suitable stand in the market. I do not know how to make sure the suitability of stand to this "FREEMANS PROFESSIONAL LASER DISTANCE METER". I can not ask amazon or some other online store , whether stands sold by Seller are suitable for my FREEMANS PROFESSIONAL LASER DISTANCE METER". Whatever it may be, in my opinion, this instrument can not be used outdoors particularly in sunny days. So, for me this instrument is useless and overall the rating is very poor.
