Wow, this is a serious set of vise grips
Needed to do some welding that requires clamping, my smaller vise grips would not work so I ordered a couple of the larger vise-grips. I was impressed with the packaging compared to the retail type packaging. These arrived in boxes that were nicely taped ... I know makes no real difference but left an impression as to the quality of the tool. This is a large set of vice grips that work perfectly, nice smooth screw with a positive lock up. Very nice compared to the tool store junk that I was considering. These are a bit pricy but I do expect that these will last me for years even with some abuse. Very happy with the performance and glad I spent a few dollars more.

There is nothing better than the original Irwin Vice Grips for quality and strength. I have used these tools in Construction Trade for years. They have never failed. I now use them on Hot Rod building and home projects.

I expected better from a iconic name brand
Price was good but the first two uses it was already went out of alignment. After looking at the others I got at same time were already miss aligned before used.

typical vise grip product, that is to say great!! i have used them for years and when Irwin took over i was afraid the quality might suffer but these are as good as the old days!! i have tried cheaper stuff but when you are welding and such you need a good grip and these are made right!! the steel is so hard i could hardly inscribe my name on the side with an engraver!!!

Vise Grip
Nothing like a Vise Grip product. I have about 60 Vise Grip welding clamps and other Vise Grip products. I have bought other products that seem to be the same as a Vise Grip but they are not!

Vise grip still a great product
Good for automotive panel replacement. Not made for squeezing & holding heavy pieces of steel together. Unlike other reviewers that give it a low score. This tool like any othe tool has its purpose, and should only be used for that.
