A filter for ice machines
These filters are designed for ice machines and removes sediment and chlorine. They are pricey, but they will last a good year with moderate usage such as a home, in a business, you might have to change them quarterly. We have rural water and use a 5 micron whole house filter that get’s pretty raunchy if I don’t change it twice a year. We had a really bad year with a lot of construction on the water lines and consequently had a lot of dirt in our whole house water filter that got by it and was filtered out by the 3M filter. The ice was still crystal clear with no sediment in the ice maker. If you have a situation like ours with rural water, I would implore you to get a whole house filter.
