David Tutera Fillable Handle Cake Knife & Server Set - Clear / Silver

There is no mistaking that they are plastic handles, but they don't look cheap. My daughter-in-law had said No to a cake set (although what do you use to serve the cake, then?) because it's one of those wedding items that you buy for the day and then they sit in a drawer doing nothing pretty much forever. With these, however, you can fill them to match the color/theme of your wedding, then refill to match whatever event comes up next. And there's no polishing involved! Very pleased with the product, price, and purchase.

When I read the description, I wasn't very convinced these would be nice looking but I purchased them only because I saw you could fill them with glitter or sand. I needed a specific color so I took a chance. Wow! Was I surprised. They are nice looking and the plastic is thicker than I expected. I filled them up with a fuzzy pink glitter and they look very nice. It looks as if the serving set was made with the glitter. You can't tell that there is a cavity. I love these and hope to use them for years to come.

This product is very cute and being able to decorate the inside of the handles was a great idea, however, while we were cutting our wedding cake the end of one of the handles broke off. We don't sweat the small things usually and just laughed it off but I probably wouldn't highly recommend this product to anyone, maybe just for looks on the table, but cutting a wedding cake, not so much.

I really like the idea of the product, but when I tried to put stuff in it. (Glitter) it cracked when I out the plug part back in. Both handles did. I'm very bummed as for my wedding is next month and I don't have time or money to find a new product. I was even trying to be gentle. I liked that we could design this all on our own and make it ours but it didn't even last one day with out both handles cracking. A little disappointed because I was very excited to use these!

Used for a wedding. They look pretty nice once you get something into them.

I bought these to use for my wedding. I meant to fill them with baby's breath, but totally forgot. Luckily, they are attractive even if you don't put anything in the handle. I like that they are reusable for other occasions, not just wedding. If I want to use them for a birthday, I just need to fill the handles with something colorful and you would never know they were meant for wedding cake. I found them to be durable and have not had any problems.

Of all the products and DIY projects I purchased for my wedding, this was the worst! I bought Swarovski flutes filled with loose crystals in the stems for our toast so I wanted cutlery to match. I thought these would be perfect since I could fill them with any color loose crystal. When they arrived, I was so excited! Then upon closer inspection I realized how cheap and plastic the handles are! Part of the handle actually cracked when trying to unscrew the end of the handle to fill it. Needless to say this product was returned and I bought Horten B. Henz crystal filled cutlery instead and they are absolutely stunning!!!

I definitely love this set, it is true to previous descriptions and if you see if on the table you would know that it is not crystal glass. I love the idea that you can place something in the handle and we are planing to put sand from the sand ceremony to put in them to complete the theme. fillable cake knife set is a great concept.
