Good buy for Sound Deadening
Works great for sound deadening a room, I just bobby pinned two of these blankets together to make them thicker and hung them on all the walls in my sound recording room and it worked surprisingly well. If your thinking of getting these instead of the expensive sound foams and acoustic panels I would say buy these and save yourself some money, any 'acoustic' and 'sound proofing' labelled products are being sold at a premium to try to get you to spend more money on cheap foam and panels that don't work much better than moving blankets. If your seriously trying to sound proof a room instead of sound deadening a room, you have to add mass, the more mass the harder it is for the sound waves to travel. Unfortunately that might require you to open up your walls to add sound putty or some kind of filler if you have cheap, thin walls. not something you wanna do if your renting. Consider looking at sound proofing the door first by adding weatherstripping which you can do for cheap, or covering the door with layers of these moving blankets. Even better would be to also upgrade from a hollow core door to a solid core door.

Great Value
If anyone has "rented" moving blankets with UHaul you will know the difference in quality and in price if you losse a UHaul moving blanket, they will charge you $7.75 for what amounts to thick particle felt
