VIVOSUN Hydroponics CO2 Regulator System with Solenoid Valve Flowmeter

I am very satisfied with the VIVOSUN CO₂ regulator and emitter system. Installation was simple, and the materials feel sturdy and of good quality. The solenoid valve works perfectly, and the flow meter allows for precise adjustment of the CO₂ flow. Since incorporating it into my hydroponic system, I have noticed improved development and vigor in my plants.

For $39, this product is impressive. I just got and hooked it up yesterday. I plugged the solenoid into one of those dial timers that I have my light plugged into. Then I stick the hose through the tiny opening in my tent and let it discharge into a fan. It works perfect! Just make sure you use the teflon tape on tank threads and use the included washer. Use soapy water to check for leaks. Don't hold the plastic meter for leverage when tightening nut, might break.

It works just not with an aquarium. My mistake for thinking this was for aquarium use. Works as intended. Cant leave a negative review for my mistake.

This is NOT a CO2 regulator. Even though it is called a regulator and the word "regulator" is used multiple times in the description. It is in fact a flow meter with a timer and a gauge that shows tank pressure. If you need something accurate this is pretty much useless. Why? Because without a regulator the full pressure of the tank enters the tube and then declines as the tank is consumed. My application calls for a always on .5-1.0. Set to that a 20 lb. tank lasts only 6 days. Math says it should last about 4 weeks. Maybe this is OK for grow tent use cases. But even if so, you are probably using way more CO2 than you need to. Without constant input pressure this thing is useless.

Attaching regulator to my 20 lb tank was easy. After attaching provided dispersion hose to regulator and running through top of tent to about 6” above canopy I opened up main tank valve. I adjusted flow meter so that ball rose about half way up and watched my CO2 meter steadily rise. When it reached 1300ppm I backed off flow valve knob. It was easy to adjust the flow so that it hovered around 1300. There have been no large fluctuations and I’ve finally been able to relax. I do not however have enough trust in the solenoid to hook it to a timer. I could not sleep knowing tank shutoff valve is open so I turn it off when lights go out. Anybody out there use the solenoid hooked to a timer? I guess all I would have to do is open a window at night and I could rest easy. Anybody else notice how this regulator appears to be exact same model as Titan Controls $90 regulator?

This one is the exact same as the $90 Titan. I ordered a Titan CO2 regulator from a hydro shop thinking price=quality, only it started leaking, mostly just at the beginning of fresh tanks, but over 3 tanks it got worse and I couldn't get it to stop. I didn't have time for the run around and the warranty policy offered them any reason to refuse(if you turn the flow up past halfway warranty void). So I decided to 1)order a replacement, 2)tear into the Titan, see what I can see. Being Prime day, the Vivosun was only $32, as I ordered it I was thinking, man, that looks exactly the same as the $90 Titan. I fixed the Titan, better than new(or better than when I got it, it didn't seem new) and got this one today. See for yourself, one has a Titan sticker, one says Vivosun on the tank pressure gauge, other than that...identical. Oh, and this one was new. I would keep it as a spare, but I called Titan to ask a question and the tech warranty'd mine, but asked me not to ever work on them again, didn't even want it back, told me to cut the cord. I mean, cool, but what was I supposed to do in the meantime, that one won't be here for a couple weeks and I've got hungry plants. Get yourself some Teflon tape and seal up every joint you can, your tank will last longer.

I have seen a few bad reviews and I would like to set the record straight. 1. With all compressed air products, anything that can unscrew should have Teflon tape (example: the plastic reading tube) now, I understand why they didn't, it unscrew so you can adjust the internal glass meter so it can be read in the position you have the meter. Once you do that, put 4 wraps of any quality Teflon tape around the threads and carefully hand tighten it back. 2. Please please please use the plastic/fiber gasket to attach the tank. It is a necessary piece to prevent leaking of the gas. 3. FINAL AND MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!!!! Get a bottle, water, squeeze tip, trigger spray bottle etc, mix up a decent amount of a very soapy solution (you can test this with a straw, or any smaller tube, dip it in the solution and try to blow bubbles, if you can't add more soap and repeat) and once there is enough soap to retain bubbles, liberally spray or pour the solution over the connection to the tank, the plastic Guage, and all connections with the tank on, regulator dial closed and the solenoid valve open(powered). If the tank/connections are blowing bubbles, you have a leak. If the are no bubbles anywhere, with the above method, you have sealed the regulator to the tank and CO2 should not leak out where it is not supposed to. Steps 2 and 3 should be done everytime you change the CO2 tank.

Works as advertised . Buy a co2 defuser then it will fog rather than stream from tubing

Waste of money

It’s probably my fault for not reading the listing properly but why would you sell a 110v American plug product in UK? literally the wrong voltage and connection type. If I got a converter it still wouldn’t work due to frequency 50/60hz. Waste of bloody time!

Works well but develops a leak after about 6 months. I'm using this outside for a pool co2 injection system. I'm on my second unit as they both developed a leak betwen the brass housing and the clear plastic sight tube. I was able to fix it by using plastic epoxy under the lip of the sight tube. I roughed up the plastic and brass using scotchbrite pads -No issues since. The solenoid seems to be solid. Make sure you use a check valve and replace yearly! I had one leak and destroy the valve.
