good purchase
I was kind of sceptical about this product but ordered anyway. I used the cloth on my rolling pin to do fried pies and it was awesome. normally i would have to stop and clean my rolling pin after every roll but not with this, it never stuck at all and rolled smooth. worth every cent.

Good product
I did receive this. It worked well. It was a replacement for my Rolling pin cover that I couldn't find. The pastry sheet was a bonus.

One of life's best kept secret
I'm from a family of cooks not bakers so I've never even heard of a pastry cloth! But I love kitchen gadgets and came across this product while just browsing. I decided to give it a try and now I can't imagine how to do without it. Making a really wet& sticky dough for Popeye's biscuit use to take me forever. Now I've cut down my prep. time 75% and my frustration level down 100%. The biscuit were also bigger using the pastry cloth because I didn't lose any dough that use to stick to my work surfaces.Used it to roll a pumpkin cake log. Some of the cake stuck to the cloth because I didn't put enough powdered sugar on it (on purpose), and I let it cool off rolled up in the pastry cloth before I made my filling. I stuck the cloth in warm water and it was really easy to rinse out and clean. I really didn't even soak it first. The only problem was I still had to scrub off some cloth fuzz balls, but it really was easy to do. I'm assuming that it had fuzz balls because it was the first time I cleaned it.The cloth is so big that I folded the cloth in half and floured one side to make the biscuits. Then I folded the cloth in the opposite direction and sprinkled powdered sugar on it for the pumpkin roll. The cloth fold in half was still big enough and sturdy enough that I could just cover my 10" x 15" jellyroll pan and easily flip the cake over.I like that it's made in the USA. The pastry cloth (20" x 24") is made out of a canvas-like material & has sewn edges. I haven't used the rolling pin cover yet, but it seems to be made out of a stretchy kind of knit. The knit reminds me of the material used by my hospital to make a hat for my newborn babies 19+ years ago.I haven't tried pie crusts either, but I can't imagine that it would be harder than working with the super sticky Popeye dough. At last, I think I'll be able to judge different crust recipes based on the recipe itself, rather than me over working the dough. (I've used same recipes more than once and still ended up with different results so it wasn't the recipe that was bad).SO inexpensive for such a super handy product! Knowing how much easier it made things for me, I would have willing paid more for it and gotten it years ago!

Reduces extra flour on the dough and dough does not stick to the cloth
I bought this as I have been making more cutouts and am tired of using parchment paper with extra flour to prevent sticking. The extra flour gives the cookies a blah flavor. I absolutely love the cloth that goes on the rolling pin (so easy to clean now) and no extra flour is on the dough. After rolling half of the dough I did need to put more flour on the cloth and rub it in the cloth but that is exactly what the directions say. I took the cloth off the rolling pin and folded up the cloth and put them in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator as I will be making more cookies very soon. Wish I bought this sooner.....like 35 years sooner. Picture of bottom side of the cutout - no extra flour :)

Pie crusts made easy!
No more flour on the countertop! Lightly dust this and the rolling pin sleeve with flour, roll out your dough, shake the excess off when you’re done, and put it away! I use this for pie crusts and dumplings. Will never be without one again!

Can always count on amazon
My mom used one, I used it for rolling out pie crusts for over 50 years. Was so happy to find they still make these.

Very good
Not expensive and does a great job. The pastry does not stick as you roll it.

Brilliant
This is brilliant especially for gluten free pastry though the rolling pin cover does tend to stretch a little. I'm very pleased with it .. it does what it says.

Really pleased with this.
Really pleased with this. I have had the rolling pin cover before. It has been very useful and lasted several years. The pastry cloth is new to me but I would highly recommend both. They make rolling out pastry so very much easier. Have bought another one as a gift.

Great pastry cloth
The best way to make pie crust is with a Pastry cloth. I was so pleased with my first cloth I have purchased a second for when I help make pies for Church. If you keep cloth impregnated with flour the dough rolls out better and does not stick. When finished just fold up, store in plastic bag and keep in refrigerator until next use. Once cloth becomes too saturated and does not work as well, hand wash in very warm water & soap and rinse well. May have to repeat washings a coupe times to remove old flour. Hang to dry, Do not iron! ( Tip - use lard and not shortening or cloth will get oily very quickly)
