Better options for half the price...
Having a hard time understanding the staggering price on this strap compared to my 3” all-leather Franklin straps. This is stiff and inflexible out of the box. I’m sure it’ll soften up and be comfortable over a long period of use... but I don’t find it to be comfortable. Honestly, Franklin is a better strap and half the price I can’t recommend this strap, and would not buy another one.

Real Leather, Beautiful Craftsmanship
Beautifully made from real leather. Let me just say that if you are ordering less expensive "leather" straps you sometimes are not getting real leather. Surely not full grain leather. Maybe "pleather," LOL. This is the real deal, and made with quality and concern for detail. Even the packaging was thoughtful with the strap in a nice burlap bag that might end up being decor in my little studio.I just got an expensive Martin guitar and wanted something timeless, classic, a strap that would last for years only getting better with age. This will be that strap. I attached the strap to the guitar body but considered attaching to the head of the guitar and was going to order the nine inch "jumbo tongue" extension, but decided I like it better out of the way, close to the guitar. If you attach to the head or like to wear your guitar low consider adding the extension. No complaints, a beautiful leather work. You can adjust the length of the strap midway, there's about a half dozen slots. I am tall and the last one just happened to feel nice, may lift it up one to ride a little higher.I should add Anthology has great customer service. I did order the extension then changed my mind and through Amazon you have to send a message and maybe wait 48 hours for a reply but the owner got back in an hour, canceled the order, no problems. Try that with some outfit overseas selling pleather.

Expensive, maybe. But compared to others, this one actually makes a difference.
This is my second Anthology strap and I've once again thrown out the old one immediately. My first was a few weeks ago, bought Anthology's Blackwood for my black Gretsch G5410 Rat Rod and works beautifully.Been using this second strap, Straight Up 3-inch, for my modified-for-metal red reverse burst Schecter TSH-1.Both straps make my guitars feel so much lighter and easier to bear for extended playing. Yeah, 100+ dollars seems ridiculous, but the difference these make is insane.

Straight Up No-nonsense
Let's face it, the Fender Telecaster is a no-frills, no-nonsense, straight up kind of guitar, so what better strap could there be to hang it on than this one? Superb quality leather that is tough but soft enough be extremely comfortable to wear. It looks and smells good too! I am relatively short (1.65 m) and the strap's adjustment is just about enough, at its shortest, to give me an ideal playing position on the Telecaster. I also have a Walk the Line model from the same company (for my Gibson acoustic) and would recommend anyone looking for that something extra in the strap department to go that extra mile in monetary terms and go for one of the Anthology range. Not cheap, but neither are my guitars!

Wasn't for me, but great quality strap
While I ultimately returned it, it was a very nice, well-made strap. I have a 4" leather-backed Moody Leather strap that I've had for years and it's the strap to which all others are compared. The Anthology Gear strap is very nice and was comfortable, but it just wasn't as comfortable as the Moody. For me, I don't think it comes down to the construction or materials of the Anthology Gear strap, it was simply that I prefer the weight distribution across my shoulder from a 4" strap rather than something with less width.

Worth the money
I have been looking at Anthology straps for awhile, trying to decide which one to get. I finally settled on the "Straight Up" model. I was apprehensive about the price, as I don't normally spend this much on a guitar strap. I decided to splurge to celebrate a promotion and it is worth every penny. This is one of those items that is very elegant in it's simplicity. Beautiful strap with very thick leather which I expect to last my lifetime and many more. It looks exactly like the product pictures so I'm not going to upload an additional one. Buy one - you will not regret it. (By the way, I am reviewing the 3" version".

this product is great
i play a lot, and was really hesitant about spending over $100 on a strap, especially when there are so many online for like $15. Ultimately, i decided to buy this product, because i work so hard keeping my guitars together, and so much time standing up, I felt it would be worth the investment, and also, I really appreciate artisan-ship and well made handcrafted work. I love this strap, its so comfortable, my guitars all fit so nicely around my torso, i can play at least 2 hours longer without even noticing the weight on my shoulders, and it smells and feels like straight from the farm. A PLUS!!!!

Exceptional quality!!
The media could not be loaded. Wow!!!! Wow wow!!!! I’ve never done an unboxing video, but this product and the packaging was so worthy! My husband has played guitar his whole life, he recently started a band and has been playing a lot. My daughter and I wanted to get him a really nice guitar strap for Father’s Day and this one is perfect. He specifically stated that he wanted one that was 3 inches wide and padded. I can NOT wait to give this to him. Thank you Tyler and Katya for such a great product!
