Great alternative to messier coloring activities
Purchased this for my three year old niece for Christmas, and it was her favorite gift. I remember doing the scratch art when I was young, and the combo set is a really fun way to introduce that concept. Plus, it is WAY less messy than markers, paints, or crayons, and the kids get a kick out of seeing the colors appear. Great for travel or at home. Awesome price. Good buy!

Individual Sheets Not Labeled
I LOVE Melissa & Doug. They have a lot of cute "wooden" toys that tend to be overpriced, but they're good quality and good design. When Amazon had a sale on this Art Combo Set, we purchased 2 of them with the intention of splitting up the pieces into three art boxes to be used as Christmas gifts.The sets come with a lot of different sheets of paper (4 rainbow, 4 white-coated rainbow, 4 light-catcher, and 4 silver holographic) but unfortunately you can't tell the difference between any of them because they aren't labeled! The black sheets are all identical (until you start drawing on them).They're individually packaged, so it would have been really easy to just label the plastic bags (of which there were MANY in this set!)Otherwise, I still like the Melissa & Doug brand and will continue to buy.... just wish this set was thought out a little bit better.
