Origin De humidifiers Novita Dehumidifier ND 328

During monsoon our apartment becomes stuffy, walls get a bit wet since ac is always on .I had tried atleast 2 other dehumidifiers and they didn't help .I bought origin after talking to their team and its been more than a year and it has worked wonderfully well.

Overall product is nice and functions as mentioned.. however be prepared for an extremely slow delivery.. the delivery part was managed by Delhivery Courier. The carton we received was damaged, fortunately the product inside the carton was ok (except for an open plastic panel that must have got damaged during transit)..Would have given 5 stars.. if delivery was good and no damaged plastic panel

My room and all the contents inside the cupboards get stuffy and full of moisture after the month long rain season in Bombay. I also noticed mould and mildew that would start to creep up around my walls.Using the dehumidifier every alternate day with all my windows and door shut, and my cupboards and drawers open, helped suck out the moisture out of there, and maintained a dry atmosphere.

it is easy to operate, looks good in room, just on it,it is dehumidifying room very fast. must buy product.

Only minus point is that long blue light is on all the time. They should provide with an option to swith it on and off.

I live in Mumbai which being a coastal city has high humidity especially in the monsoon when the humidity touches as high as 95%. During this monsoon I noticed mould growth on my teak wood sofa in the living room as well as inside my wooden cupboard in the bedroom. I also noticed moisture on my teak wood writing table. Also I am an avid reader with a good collection of books, I noticed that the ink on the cover of some of my paper back books was smudging. I researched online and discovered that the root cause is high humidity. To combat the humidity I bought the Novita Origin ND 328 Dehumidifier in the month of August 2020. I am happy to say that it was a great decision and the machine is excellent. It brings down the humidity in my 220 sq ft living room from 90% to 50% within 4 hours and all the aforementioned problems related to mould and moisture magically vanished !. I used to keep the machine working for 6-7 hours a day and did not have any noticeable increase in my electricity bills which shows that the machine is power efficient. The machine is well built, reasonably compact, aesthetically pleasing, easy to operate, low on noise and easy to maintain. The only scope for improvement is the coaster wheels which are a bit small and get locked while moving the machine from one room to another, nothing too serious but definitely an area for improvement. The customer service is amazing, they are prompt, knowledgeable and extremely amicable. Finally Based on my experience of using the machine here are my observations for fellow owners:1. The air inlet is at the back of the machine so make sure you don’t cramp the machine against a wall. It won’t be able to suck in the air efficiently. What I do is place the machine in the centre of the room keeping the surrounding 3 feet clear so that the machine can suck the air better. Remember the more air it sucks in, the faster the humidity will go down.2. The throw of the outlet air due to the position of the fan is almost fully towards the right side. Make sure the surrounding is clear so that the air throw is unobstructed.3. The machine works best in a room upto a maximum of 250 sq ft. Smaller the room, the faster will it dry. Keep all windows and doors fully shut.4. I clean the filters every 2 weeks. I clean both filters with a Philips vaccum cleaner brush set on gentle mode. Take care while cleaning the pre filter because the mesh seems delicate and can tear if too much force is applied.5. I empty the water tank daily and clean it with a dry cloth. This ensures that fungus or bacteria does not build up in the tank.6. I never use the machine more than 6 hours continuously. I give it a break of 2 hours after every 6 hours. In any case I do not run the machine more than 7 hours a day.
