I needed a hanger mount style derailleur for an older beater bike that we keep around as a spare. Didn't want to break the bank so this derailleur fit the bill.You can tell the quality is not the same as Shimano's fancier derailleurs; the jockey wheels are pretty cheap feeling and the body is plastic but what do you expect from a derailleur that is 1/4 the price of an Alivio brand?Bolted up fine and I just needed to adjust the low-limit screw. It's shifting great now but only time will tell how it holds up.

I was looking for a direct replacement for a broken Shimano Derailleur. I thought this was it, but was sent one different from the photo - it has a "C" shaped hanger mount as opposed the the ring shaped direct mount. It doesn't fit.

The replacement was an exact fit for my 40-yr old ten speed road bike, which had a Shimano 500 derailleur. The travel of the friction lever stayed exactly the same as before. The speed changes are now much more precise.

First time installing one of these, so I didn't know what I was doing, but this was nice and inexpensive and the install went smoothly. It's cheap so don't expect the world, but to replace a broken one on a sub $300 bike, would recommend!
