Nice but misses perfection by a thin margin.
I have used it only as an ice pack for a week so this review doesn't include a feedback on the hot pack feature. As described, there are 2 gel sheets & a belt that came with the order. When you see the gel pack first, it is completely flat & dry so you need to hydrate it. The process to do it is fairly easy (you basically immerse it in lukewarm water & gently wring it once every 5 mins for about 10-15 mins, basically till it is fully plumped up. A detailed instruction is given on the instruction sheet that comes with the order) and has to be done only the first time. After that it is ready to use post refrigeration. I started using it after deep freezing it for 24 hours. The belt is solidly made and is not frail or prone to tearing. The velcro seems sturdy too. You can easily tie it around your waist or other parts of the body and enjoy a handsfree experience. My issue with the belt is with its thickness because the cold just doesn't seep through and after as low as 10mins, I end up using the ice gel pack wrapped in a thin piece of cotton and throw the belt away! So long story short, the belt is basically useless. Might as well buy the gel sheets alone and use it with some thin cloth. The extreme chillness of the pack lasts for about 30-35 mins and after that it stays cold for 40-45 mins more (I am using it in May which is summer so guess it would last more during other seasons) so that's about an hour and a half that you can keep it at one go. After that it must be deep freezer- chilled again for at least 6 hours before you use it again. Once when I used it after a 3 hr chilling, it remained cold for much shorter time. Hence i deduce the longer you keep it refrigerated, the longer it is going to remain cold. Overnight is the best option.Since it is an ice gel pack, the chillness of the ice when coming down also brings forth some wetness. If you're using the belt, it doesn't get wet but since I use it with a thin cotton cloth, the cloth does end up getting mildly wet. Not soaking wet, just mild. There are no leakages though. Is this value for money? Probably not. My suggestion would be to buy the gel sheets and use it with a thin cotton cloth to enjoy maximum coldness. And lastly, does it help the aching body part? Yes and no. While it does offer respite when on the body, the soreness and pain return soon after. And you can't be keeping the ice pack forever so bottom line, it works wonders on a temporary basis.

Satisfied
Well designed product. The straps are shaped perfectly and have the right length to fit most applications. I have used it for my shoulder across the chest, and found it very comfortable. I also used it for stiff hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, etc and the straps always provide a good grip to press the bag on to the affected area. The gel filling does what it says, and can be used for both hot and cold presses. One of my gel pockets did leak, but that was due to rough handling on my part. I can still use it despite the minor leak and it works brilliantly.Only thing that could be improved is the material of the bag. It is effective and does its job. Also looks decent, but it could be a little more sturdy - looks a little frayed after about 15 days of use.

Buy solutions, not things.
I debated buying this product vs the 3M gel packs, with this one costing roughly Rs 200 more. But I believe the usability of this product is far superior than a gel pack. The belt, which someone may argue shouldn't cost as much and thus add so much to the cost of the product, actually is very helpful. I use this pack for my knees after a long run. I use the velcro belt to strap it on tight, raise the knee on my bed/ ottoman so its straight and then go about doing my work on my laptop or reading. A little bit movement here and there, no problem, the belt stays on. Ice for 20 mins, switch knee, another 20 mins later, back to the freezer for next use.Now contrast this to the gel pack. You get the gel pack out, then what? Look for a towel/ handkerchief? It won't make perfect contact with the area to be iced, and will become loose.. maybe fall off. Then repeat this dance 100 times over the life of the product. With this, you are buying a working, close to perfect solution. Not a component to the solution.

Hot/Cold therapy pack
The supplied one therapy pack is hot/cold water poured type. We would like to have the same with gel type to avoid the risk of heating water and pouring into the pack etc. while ordering the pack we have missed to observe the details. Pl replace with the gel type one which we have procured earlier in Amazon.

Excellent Tool for Inflammation and pain Resolution
The ice packs are of a good quality. Follow the instructions to hydrate the pads in the beginning and it will serve you well for a long time. Care should be taken to protect the packs for getting scrated and torn. If it gets damaged, the gel will leak out and it will become useless. Supplier should offer an additional pad-holding cover as a person may need to use both the ice packs on both knees or two parts of the body at the same time. Only one cover is supplied which inconveniences the user.

Very useful and effective
This is my second purchase as the first one was torn accidentally. Once you follow the instructions and prepare the gel, the freezing process is quite quick and can be used for at least an hour before it starts softening. My mother uses it for her joint pains and found to be very effective in reducing the pain. It can be wrapped around her knee for example and she can get on with her work while the pack does its job. I recommend it highly. I removed one star because the bands with Velcro starts losing their stiffness after some usage and sag.
