TRADITIONAL GHEE BY GOLD NUGGET GHEE, USDA ORGANIC, FULL-YEAR/PASTURE-RAISED, GRASS-FED BUTTER 32oz

Absolutely wonderful, the best tasting ghee I ever had. It's very expensive but the quality is so good, I'll continue purchasing it. it has a beautiful silky smooth texture, very fragrant, not greasy or grainy at all like many other brands, you can cook with it and the cooked food gets a unique rich and deep taste, I use it for frying Indian/Pakistani whole wheat flatbread (called paratha, see attached image) and they turn out so good, also sometimes eat it as a snack right from the jar, it is so addictive I can eat multiple spoonfuls. I tried the 4th and heart brand, that's also of good quality but only for cooking or when mixed in a hot liquid, if you eat it on its own as a snack then it has a very greasy or grainy feel that irritates your throat. Gold Nugget, on the other hand, is great as a snack. I store the jar in a semi-cool place (not the fridge), it would melt if kept close to the stove (which is expected for ghee/butter) but if you put it again in a cool place, then it solidifies again, but I'd suggest not letting it melt and keeping on the counter/shelf that's a little bit away from the stove.

This is my first time trying Ghee - ever. I have to say that when I opened the box and found the jar lovingly wrapped, with a thank-you note and a cute sticker, I had a great feeling. This combined with the story on the label showed me I had ordered from a business that truly cares about their product and how it is received. The product itself is lovely. It's amazing how much it takes like regular butter but more silky and not salty at all. So far it's been great on toast, and I am just starting to experiment cooking with it. I have not tried it in coffee, like others have commented, but who knows, I may try it. Also it works best at room temperature, I'm finding. All in all, I'm glad I bought it and chose this particular brand. I'm always a fan of brands who take such great pride and care in developing their products.

This Ghee was delicious. This is one of the top brands I have had. As soon as you open the jar it just smells so delicious. My thoughts on this is that if you are going to spend the cash on a good Ghee, just go with the biggest jar of this stuff. I went through the 8oz jar way too fast. I have had many brands now and honestly, most of them were not that great. One of the brands I purchased at Walmart and claimed organic pasture raised and was about 10 bucks and it wasn't even usable. Same thing with the organic pasture raised Ghee I purchased at Giant. It was 17 bucks and again, not even usable. This ghee may be a bit pricier but oh man was it delicious.

I'm becoming a connoisseur of ghee. My friends mock my love of ghee and throw terms around like, "addict", "snob" and "weirdo" but I don't let it phase me. So, I've tried several brands and this is my favorite. I like 4th generation vanilla bean but for sweet treats and such. Overall, plain ghee, this texture is silky, smooth and velvety in terms of mouth feel. Flavor is full butter. You can taste the freshness. I use it to sautee everything - spinach, kale, asparagus and mushrooms. I use it for eggs too. Sometimes, I eat it out if the jar. This stuff is true to it's name - gold nugget of goodness.

I've bought this ghee when i have a 'ghee-mergency' (not my term, ok?) and I run out of ancient organics & can't get it fast enough. I've tried a couple others that were way grainy & separated & the flavor was too close to butter (not fully cooked or cooked low enough). But this one is really good. It's not QUITE as tasty & sweet & rich in flavor as AO but it's really good.I can't quite determine the grass-fed length/rules on all of these products, this one says a year? of course 100% grassfed (with appropriate, non corn/soy supplements when necessary) is ideal, and I believe AO is just that so that's the other reason it's my preference, along with their mindful, ancient process.But if you're ever stuck, I recommend this one to save you!

For those on the Ketogenic diet and just starting out or first time trying Ghee, I would recommend this product. I will say, the jar is tiny but the quality for the price is very good. Unlike other brands, it did not come with a rancid smell or taste. It spreads smoothly and taste like butter but a little more nutty. A little goes a long way. If you never tried Ghee before, try Gold Nugget, and if you like it, then step up to a higher quality brand like 4th & Heart. Happy buying!

YES, THIS IS A BIT EXPENSIVE!!! BUT IT WAS DELIVERED AS PROMISED AND TASTES JUST GREAT. AN ADDED BONUS IT IS ACTUALLY VERY HEALTHY TO EAT THIS RATHER THAN BUTTER OR MARGERINE. TRY IT I THINK YOU WILL LIKE IT VERY MUCH. JUST A SIDE NOTE, I PUT THIS ON POPCORN AND IT REMINDED ME OF THE POPCORN WE USED TO GET AT THE MOVIES 50 YEARS AGO. BACK WHEN FOOD ACTUALLY TASTED GOOD.

Received product that was much older than product on the shelf in store and it was clearly exposed to light or temperature beyond product specifications. Normally this product taste lovely and has a caramel flavor with a smoothe texture. This one tasted and smelled like cheese and was grainy. Find it in stores if you can or order direct from manufacturer.
