Outstanding, but make sure you buy the SPECIAL ones
The A30 SPECIAL earbuds (the purple and white ones only) are my holy grail for masking chainsaw snoring as a side sleeper. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE LISTING TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE PRODUCT YOU WANT. I highly recommend the A30 Special over the A30 original--I have now tried both since I ordered the original accidentally the first time around. Anker support was phenomenal in helping me exchange to get the ones I wanted. I sleep (or try to) next to a very loud snorer. I had tried four other types of sleep headphones, but they were uncomfortable and I could still hear the snoring. I used to have a pair of the Bose sleephones, but they eventually kicked the bucket and couldn't be replaced. The Anker A30 Special earbuds are SO comfortable as a side sleeper. Within the box, there are several size options for both the tips and the wings so that you can customize a perfect fit. I don't even notice them anymore, and they stay in my ears all night. The ANC on the A30 Special is very good. Before I got the Special, I was sleeping with the A30 regular (ANC on) + over-ear headphones with ANC on, which was the only thing that let me sleep. The A30 special pretty much gets to that level of noise cancelling on its own. The snore masking audio options are really nice. I love the completely customizable white noise options too. I do not love the included meditations and sleep stories, BUT! You do not need to only use the in-app noises to get the main benefit of these headphones! The headphones detect when you fall asleep and then switch to local mode with ANC off to save battery. This works really well for me. I set up my sleep preferences for the night in the app, start my sleep, then go to Spotify to listen to my own sleep podcasts and music with ANC on. At some point after I'm already asleep, the headphones switch to be in local mode w/snore-masking audio and ANC off to save battery. In the several weeks that I have been using the A30 Special, the timing on that has worked every night. I have never once been woken up by snoring, and I've never had it switch to local mode too early. Sometimes I wake up for other reasons throughout the night, and often I can fall back asleep even without ANC on. But if I need it on again, it's easy enough to restart my sleep in the app to get that benefit again. The battery life on the A30 special is great. They have lasted through the night every night so far, with using the settings that turn the ANC off after I'm asleep. The plain A30 did not last through the night on weekends when I slept more than 7 hours. Beyond their functional abilities, they even FEEL luxurious--I love the glide of the case and the snap of the earbuds as I put them back. Even better than the Bose Sleephones were. Finally, the support team at Anker is so helpful and resolved my issue right away. They very generously let me keep the A30 originals while the A30 specials shipped to me, so that I could still sleep in the meantime. I have full confidence that they stand behind their product and will help if I encounter any other issues. Overall, I can't recommend the A30 SPECIAL earbuds enough. They are 100% worth the price, and have given me my sleep back. Also, shoutout to the Get Sleepy podcast for being the best sleep stories out there!

Drowns out snoring
I absolutely love these ear buds. I have a six month old baby and a snoring husband and these have saved my life by allowing me to sleep through all the extra noises. I typically can only wear ear buds for short periods because they make my ear canals hurt. These can after several hours, but they’re mostly comfortable. I find they help me go to sleep and I can take them out in the night if needed. I listen to music with them sometimes, and the sound quality is good. I’ve taken a couple phone calls and was not impressed. Charging is good, love the color. Only major complaint is sometimes they just don’t want to connect and I’ve had to use the reset button a couple times. Irritating but not a deal breaker. Wish there was a watch app so I didn’t have to open my phone at night.

Best Sleep Headset
So far, I have to say that I am very happy with the Soundcore Sleep A30 Special by Anker. Having gone through sleep masks and various headset types, my husband and I decided to give these a try when my current one wasn't lasting the whole night and his old Jabra headset was dying. With Jabra no longer making headsets, we decided to start researching. After spending some time on Reddit, we decided to try the Soundcore Sleep A30 Special by Anker. Honestly, we are so glad we did! This headset is truly amazing. It has the best noise-canceling system I have seen to date. While testing, it blocked out my husband talking, his music, and our dogs walking around on our hardwood floors. I was honestly quite stunned. I then put on my storm playlist on Spotify, which I normally listen to for sleep, and the thunder sounded absolutely incredible. The sound quality is superb. I also loved that it blocked out noise (especially my husband's snoring). Its app also has some built-in sounds and meditation music, which I enjoy (I will get back to the app to the end - the reason this doesn't have five stars). While it worked perfectly for sleep, I didn't expect this headset to be great as an all-purpose headset too. It has fantastic sound quality for listening to music, both streaming and what I keep on my phone. I was also very impressed with the quality of voice calls (just know you have to turn on call functionality, since it is off by default). In other words, it is a nice, portable headset with lots of versatility, making it more than just a sound device for sleep. Fit was also superb, being the first headset I have found that actually has xxs wings and nubs for very small ears. Most headsets fall out of my ears, so I was very happy to see this. I also didn't really fill them in my ears, which was another plus. Now, for the reason this doesn't have five stars - the app itself is extremely obnoxious, forcing you to make an account. You cannot perform firmware updates without creating an account, nor can you change many of your device's settings. It is likely you only have partial functionality, which was extremely annoying. The app itself is also a bit on the mediocre side, and you cannot use most of its functions unless you are using the earbuds or have the case open. It was also a bit of an exercise getting it to connect for the first time, but once we figured it out, it wasn't a huge deal (connectivity was pretty average). While this isn't a dealbreaker, it is something you need to know. Overall, though, I still do love these headsets and am glad we purchased them. I don't consider it a bad price, especially since I paid a similar price for my old headset back in 2020.

Pretty happy so far
It's only been a few nights with these but I'm very happy so far. Before this I would wear wired earbuds with my iPhone playing my preferred type of white noise, or bose QC35 ii for really challenging sleep environments. I also occasionally would try airpod pros but only got 4 hours of battery on those before it would wake me up with the world's most annoying low power chime. All of these options were very unpleasant to wear but I felt I had no choice as I am an extremely light sleeper and find any variation in sounds to be extremely challenging for sleep. My first few nights with these have been quite pleasant. They block a lot of sound right out of the gate as they function as a sort of ear plug, but far more comfortable than normal ear plugs which I never wanted to wear for sleep. The noise cancelling seems to be pretty effective, and I couldn't hear one of our dogs whining to come into our bed last night (he's a good boy though). Given their low profile they are quite comfortable to wear while side sleeping. I also love just being able to get up to go to the bathroom and keep them in and not think about it. To me, the biggest question will be battery life and degradation over time. So far, zero issues with these things lasting through the night on a mix of bluetooth and local modes with the default ANC off after it detects sleep (no clue how it does that but I didn't notice it turning off and it didn't impact my sleep when it did). It's not all roses. Last night only one earbud would turn on so I had to put them both back into the case and try again, then it worked fine (reminded me of the airpod pros, so I'm used to that). The default sounds in the app I find very puzzling. I am the kind of person that cannot sleep with inconsistent sounds like rain, forest sounds, waves, etc. yet those are all the defaults in the app which makes no sense to me. I need consistent brown noise or airplane engine noise. Hearing the gentle sounds of a bird calling in the distance or random thunder is guaranteed to keep me from falling asleep. The White Noise app I've used for years on the iPhone has an Airplane cabin sound that I find to be my preferred sound. Unfortunately, the airplane sound in the Soundcore app has way too much bass, which also makes no sense to me. Bass is one of the WORST offenders for sleep quality in my experience. Thankfully, I was able to design my own white noise in the app using the brown noise setting so I've been using that, but it really should have been a default! I am going to update this review over the coming year as I use these but, so far, I've been very happy with them and I am absolutely the target customer for these as I was already using far less comfortable and frustrating options before.

Finally Sleeping Through the Night, Seriously Life-Changing for Me
I did not like these at first. I knew would take time to get the right fit, but had quite a few nights waking from ear pain. That was with the silicone buds, the memory foam that they list as "not as comfortable" is far more comfortable for me. Once I got the fit right, these have been life changing. And I do mean that, and will explain - I work on a ship, which is running 24/7, and full of inconsiderate @sssholes. Working night shift and sleeping during the day? People will slam door, yell in hallways, etc. Add in loud PA announcements on top of that. According to my Oura ring, I was getting woken an average of 10 times a night/day. 5.5-6 hours broken sleep a night. I was miserable, always tired, in a job where being tired and unaware is horribly dangerous. Try as I might, the inconsideration of others never got better. For awhile I managed with silicon earplugs and a manta sound mask, along with white noise. Still would get woken up. Brought these A30s out, figuring even some ear pain was worth it. After a few nights I got the fit right and getting 8 hours sleep a night. I don't wake with ear pain, sometimes a tiny bit of soreness. The battery life is good enough, be nice to be better. I find that once I get to my room I want to put these on, as I am then in my own world, with calming rain sounds. If I get 8 hours sleep, these have 10% battery left when I wake up. Id prefer longer so I could have a chill, quiet morning before the sounds of chaos wreck my mood. The ANC is actually really good. Those that complain did not give it time. Obviously if you do not have a good fit, you wont get as much noise cancelation, but the ANC starts minimal and increases over next few minutes. I think its learning the noises and slowly adjusting. I keep a fan running at night, and when I just put the buds in I can hear it, but after a few minutes, its cancelled out. Sound quality? I don't have the sound very high but sounds good to me. Very clear. These are meant for sleeping, not raging out to some metal while lifting weights. These do track your sleep, I don't know how accurately it does thought. I would compare with Oura Ring, but my sleep was so bad I got rid of my ring cause I only saw disappointment. The issue with the sleep tracking is you need to connect to the earbuds to open that part of the app. App isn't all that great in my opinion. I have not tried any of the sounds in the app, it uses Calm though. I can't speak for how it gets rid of snoring, or much of the options. There is an option to have the music turn off once you fall asleep, that one irritated me, as it got turned on somehow and I woke up 30 minutes after falling asleep and couldnt get music playing through the earbuds. Played out phone speakers instead. Trying to sort that out while half asleep not so fun. I learned to check the settings before sleep. I just use it to play continuously, then put on a 2 hour playlist of sleep sounds, and it keeps the ANC going after music stops. One other minor complaint is the foam buds they say are consumable, yet they only sell full set. Would be nice to sell a set of one size so you dont have to buy a set of all sizes just to get the size you want. Also, not sure how long the foam will last but been a month and still look new. I am a side sleeper, which probably helps some of you out. If you arent a side sleeper, these would be insanely comfortable. As a side sleeper expect to play around with sizes, and know that what seems comfortable testing may not be comfortable sleeping. Im stubborn and know I have big ear holes, but shockingly after plenty of sizing I found smaller ones worked better. I would give 4 stars, due to the app and some small annoyances, but these have been so life altering, I cannot give less than 5 stars. These have helped me so much, I'm tempted to get a second pair as a backup as I couldn't go a night onboard without these now.

An Okay Set of Earbuds
I've had these sleep earbuds for about 4 months, and originally bought them for the ANC and snore masking. They're a decent pair of earbuds that do a good enough job blocking out most noises comfortably. However there are some things that you should know before considering buying. The ANC function works as intended but consumes the battery life to the point of it dying in the middle of the night. The app even acknowledges this and recommends that you only keep the ANC function on until you've fallen asleep. Sometimes the earbuds don't connect to the charging case and won't charge even when it seems like they will. There has been quite a few times when I open the case at bedtime, and one earbud is 10% charged as to the other one which is fully charged. This has led me to staying up later and waiting for the earbud to charge enough to use. The charging case itself charges fairly quickly, and will be at full charge usually within a few hours. The feel of the earbud itself is very comfortable. It may take some getting used to for a week or two, but by then every time I wore these earbuds it barely felt like anything was there even when I slept on my side. The Soundcore app offered a decent variety of white noise, meditation music, and even some guided meditation tracks that you can download and load on Local mode, or the mode that isn't connected through Bluetooth. You can have up to three individual tracks playing at once and can edit the volume in which they are played at. Overall, these sleep earbuds are decent. When it comes to the ANC and snore-masking claims, it's very flawed, and I would not recommend getting these earbuds if you're looking for active noise cancellation that lasts the entire night. However, as someone who is a light sleeper, these earbuds did help block out a majority of noises that would otherwise wake me from my sleep when they worked as intended.

Terrific, when it works...
I really, really, wanted to love these sleepbuds. I had the previous generation A20's, which had their issues, but worked for what I needed. When the A30's came out, I immediately bought them figuring Soundcore (Anker) would have fixed the bugs in the A20's. And they have in most cases. But they haven't fixed all of them. When these sleepbuds work as they are supposed to, they are terrific. When working, they are amongst the best products for daily use that I've owned. I don't try to do anything fancy with them- I use them at night to block out sound, provide some white noise background, and set alarms. Simple. The buds are capable of SO much more. They are Bluetooth headphones for listening to music. The connected app with track your sleep, provides dozens of sounds, has a link to the Calm ecosystem, and even provides noise cancellation. It's pretty amazing all the options available in the app that links to the sleepbuds. They also come with a nice rechargeable case, great styling, and extra silicon ear pieces. It's a great package. As I said, my use is simple. I put them in at night, set them to local mode, play some white noise, and go to sleep. It blocks out most noise in the room (including my snoring dogs). The buds fit great, never fall out and the battery lasts through the night (if you don't' use noise cancelling) with capacity to spare. I love them. When they work. They come with (many) downsides that keeps me from fully recommending them. I bought my first pair the moment it came out in August 2025. They lasted until February when the right bud stopped putting out sound. It still charged, connected by bluetooth, but no sound at all would come out. Soundcore replaced them but the process took a few weeks and a lot of emails. The replacements lasted a month before the left earbud stopped working. I gave up on the regular A30's at this point and just bought the newer A30 Specials thinking newer models had to be better. The SPecials are basically the same as the A30's except the batteries have a little more capacities. They look the same, operate the same, and unfortunately have the same faults. The noise cancellation is meh and rips through the batteries. It won't last the night with noise cancellation on. The buds 'snap' back into the case for charging, but you can't trust the 'snap'. About 30% of the time, they snap back into the case, the fins light up as expected, but they don't seat to charge. I've come back the next night to find out one or both of the buds didn't charge. The key here is when putting them in, don't look for just the light, but for the bright light. If it's bright and pulsing, it's charging. If it's a dull light, it's not charging. You have to take it out. put it back in a few times, clean the contacts, and keep trying until it finally charges. It's unbelievably frustrating. The killer, for me anyway, is the alarm. On the app, you can set an alarm. It transfers to the buds so it works in all modes. When it works, it's great. I get up early. My wife does not. I can set an alarm, the buds play the wake tones, and nothing wakes my wife up. Great. Except it randomly fails to work about 10% of the time. Everything is set properly. The buds connect and work all night. And the alarm time comes and goes without going off. It worked the night before. It'll work the night after with no adjustments. It just randomly doesn't alarm for no reason I can fine. The result is being late for work enough times that I now have to set a second alarm in the room to wake me if (when) these fail to go off again. No idea why it does this, but combine all these faults and the A30 is not something I could recommend without caution.

Sleeping better
Comfortable day and sleep. Nice fit. Easy to charge. Bluetooth connect easy to connect with each use. Highly recommend. Would rebuy. Blocks noise well enough for me to sleep. I’m happy with sound quality. I’m falling asleep quicker since wearing at night with relaxation music.

10/10 Highly recommend
I’ve been using it for a month now, and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made! I’ve been sleeping so much better, the noise cancellation is absolutely amazing, it’s comfortable to sleep with, the app is super easy and super cool. I also use as normal earbuds to listen to music and specially for audiobooks, when I don’t want to be distracted by the outside noise. Absolutely amazing product!

Life Saver
I really love these. I have used them the last 4 nights and have already slept so much better. It hasn't quite picked up my partners snoring yet (not sure how 😅) but I still have things to try. The microphone is on the back next to the usb-c port so I had it facing the wrong way. Even without that feature properly working yet, they have allowed me to listen to podcasts on my side while drifting off to sleep 😊
