All the details were such a pleasure to my older son, and the infra red aspects added a bit of technical pleasure too. My younger one really enjoyed just playing with the different people, moving the lift up and down and all the things that opened and closed. It is well made with real attention to little details and I thought the solar panel and power system clever. The 'green' message there also appealed to me.It needs a few of the other bits to get going I think in terms of role play for older children, my younger one is quite happy with it as a stand alone toy, and calls it his experiment. It is something they will grow into and get increasing play value from. Some of the littler pieces are quite delicate and there are bits of it I have put away for a later date, but the box does say it is aimed at older children, though I am not sure many 12 year olds would play with it! He watched a promotional DVD featuring the range (which you can see on utube) and was hooked on the idea of creating a new planet. He was bought a Darkster ship first and loved the lights and battery ideas with the energy stones. The fan works brilliantly with sunlight on the station and he loves the computer screens, changing the space mobil tyres, wings etc and has really keyed into the story. We also bought the future planet turbo jet which connects very well and enhances the play. The lights work well and add to the overall feel of a quality product. Unfortunately the solar panel didnt work so it had to go back..this was all sorted out no problem and we recived a new one which works fine but it was a bit of a pain as, if you're a parent of playmobil addicts, you'll know how long it takes to put this stuff together..doing it for the 2nd time nearly pushed me to the brink!! Not sure we should have bothered because the solar panel only works if you're under 3 million watt light bulbs (not LED which is a shame in our house as we have 90% LED lights) or in bright dazzling direct sunlight..not usually a condition my children prefer to play in.Anyway, being a bit of a playmobil expert/nerd (been a nanny for many years and now have my own two) I think this product lets the playmobil brand down. there are many bits which don't sit very tightly and so fall off (the control desk and chair being a right pain) Conversely there are many hinged pieces/arms where the hinges are so darn tight that they wont hinge and hence the piece just snaps out of its holding place..bit annoying and the kids find it frustrating. The sliding door at the bottom of the clear inner tower seems to get jammed a lot as do the main doors which open and shot using a knob. All small things but having played with playmobil for years this is the first toy where I've come across defective design. Es macht super Spaß mit ihr zu spielen und vor allem gefällt mir die Vielseitigkeit und die vielen Funktionen der Basis: Es gibt zum Beispiel eine LED-Lampe an Bord und eine leuchtende Lazerkanone, einen Ventilator mit Solarzelle und einen Aufzug. Die Station hat ein abnehmbares Dach damit man die Base besser bespielen kann und die verschiedenen Figuren haben ausreichend Ausrüstung wie Strahlenkanone und Laserpistole.Ganz wichtig in dieser Schachtel sind die weißen Energiestein-Batterien, die in der Base und in allen Fahrzeugen den Stromkreis schließen und sie so - augenscheinlich für unsere Kinder - mit ihrer \"Energie\" zum Laufen bringen.Sie kann - so finden wir - hervorragend mit dem Agenten-Hauptquartier kombiniert werden, falls Sie auch nicht warm werden mit der Darksters Tower Station (das ist die Base der Feinde der E-Rangers, die ständig versuchen ihnen die Energiesteine zu klauen).Ein Muss zur Base empfinden wir den E-Rangers Turbojet mit Startstation, dessen Rampe man an die Base klicken kann, sodass man direkt aus der Base in den Jet steigen kann.
