Case-Mate Tough Case for LG G3 - Retail Packaging - Black

It took a few drops, but a little after a year, a 2.5-3 foot drop was enough to create a spiderweb, and make the phone virtually useless.. I blame the phone a good bit for my misfortune- its glass is thin and weak, and the phone's greatly diminishing battery life almost ensures that after 9 months or so of dealing with this thing, you will probably taking this case on and off constantly to switch its batteries, which had negatively affected the integrity of this case before my unfortunate incident (not as tight of a fit).I cannot give it less than 3 stars because it has served me well until I had to start changing the batteries all of the time, yet I cannot give it more than 3 stars since, since if Amazon had a Ballistic case for this phone in stock when I instead opted for this one, I would have not only opted for the Ballistic instead, I would also still have a fully-functional phone,as Ballistic claims 6 feet drops on a smooth surface are fine for their cases, while this Case-Mate Case proved ineffective on, at most, a 3-foot drop on a smooth surface (in addition to the Ballistic case for my G2 being much better in terms of "tackiness," though a bit bulkier).As I am in no mood to pay Asurion $150 to get another G3/4, I will have to revert back to my Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD, which, in spite of being a downgrade in many respects from the G3 (especially in terms of the time it takes to turn it on), is much tougher WITHOUT a case than the G3 is with THIS one. So again, decent case, but a really fragile phone, so you might want to get something a bit tougher if you have a G3.

Studied and studied all cases fort the LG G3 and this one seemed to have the best ratings as far as fit and quality. Initially, I was set on the OtterBox Commuter that I loved on my RIP LG G2. Unfortunately, that case for LG G3 was replaced with a Symmetry model that is not near as nice or quality as the Commuter but just as expensive.The Case-Mate Tough case is really nice; fits very well, is not slippery in your hand and it looks and feels quality. It doesn't have any flaps to cover the headphone and the power jacks, which I like. Is easy to put on and remove if you need to. Also the price is right for what you get. I have looked at many of them at the mall to compare.I have seen some comments about the outside rim around the screen not being high enough in case you would like to put the phone face down. It is lower than on the OB Commuter on my LG G2 but is high enough to keep the screen from touching the surface you are putting the phone on. I have installed a screen protector and it is still below the rim. Highly recommended!!!

I always look for dimensions when buying a case but most reviews or product details don't list them. So the size of this case is 6in tall x 3.13in wide x .5in depth or thick. The inner material is more ridgid* than most tpu I've had but fits the phone great. The outside seems to be polycarbonate material. It seems textured enough so grip is good. The lip on the screen of the phone might be a little low for some but I think its good enough and probably wont get in the way of a glass screen protector. It doesn't push my current Zagg protector up like my tpu case started to. I also like that the power and volume buttons are raised with the case and still easy to find with your finger. Overall the case has nice grip and protection while not adding too much bulk.

Case is very nice, fits great, actually once on it is tough to get off! Just had now for two days. Love the colors and the feel, but one issue still to be resolved. The spot for the power on back side not working well, most times I give up and just let the phone time out and shut off, not sure what I will do if I need to power down completely. This could just be a 'me' issue, do not let my issue carry too much weight in your decision. Giving it a 4 and not 5 for this reason.

I would like to do like 3 1/2 stars.it's pretty much what i wanted, but I wish the front had a higher lip to protect the front screen bc that's not as far off as I would have hoped.I have a tempered glass screen protector, so it's a higher & it's a bummer that my screen is pretty much just the screen with no extra protection/space from the top.But that was my bad for not specifying, I guess.

i have always liked the case mate series cases. this one is pretty slim and not bulky and lightweight. the only complaint i have is that, unlike previous cases, the outer surface is not as "grippy" and im afraid might slip out of shallow pockets or out of you hands. otherwise i think its reaseonably priced protection

I've had this case for 2 years and it's kept the phone safe. I haven't bothered to put a screen protector on it and the screen is almost like new still. I've dropped it a few times and I like how the edge/lip of the case extends outward a bit and probably helps keep the screen from hitting the ground.The buttons work just fine. The camera is not obscured at all. You eventually don't even realize it's a case.

I like the fit and feel of this case on the phone and in my hand, but it keeps me from using the volume buttons with any ease -- sometimes I can't adjust the volume at all, and certainly not with any rapidity. Annoying.

truly excellent product, honestly I prefer casemates over otterboxes, not only is the quality great but the two piece case (soft silicone body and hard shell) doesn't impact the profile of the phone negatively. If you are considering this case buy it, you wont regret it.

Had this case for the Samsung Note (silicone inside was too soft and had too much give and gripped pants' pockets), Note 2 where the inside was a little too hard, and now this for the LG G3. This is by far the best one yet (inside is a little softer than the Note 2 one). Fit is even more perfect then the Note 2 one, and the camera being farther in means I no longer end up pressing the camera, when trying to increase the volume. Easy to remove if done with a nail first prying apart the small part near the headphone jack. If you have no nails at all (ie. nail biting people) you'd probably have a very hard time taking it off. Phone does charge in the LG G3 Wireless Charger, but slower than usual. A good scrub with a stiff kitchen brush and some detergent increases the grip a little. Much more secure grip than the naked phone, doesn't stick so my pocket when pulling it out. The front lip is big enough to lift the screen well clear of the table. It does of course collect lint on the edge of the lip, but that's always the case with a lip and is easily brushed off. Highly recommend this case - and the company in general, especially in later years as their products keep improving.

Purchased for LG G3 - Paid £16Pros: Dual protection [soft(er) inner sock to absorb shock and hard outer shell]--Goes onto phone easy and gives excellent fit--Very slim and contours phone well--Cutouts in all right places--Quite light--Raised edges(but nice) provide protection if placed 'screen down'Cons: Outer shell is hard plastic which is very slippy both at rear and at sides where thumb and other digit tips would grip(yes,surface IS textured,but this doesn't help,probably makes it worse?)--Would prefer the surface over the power button to be slightly textured to distinguish it from the volume buttons(This is only a MINOR personal gripe)If this case had softer/more grippy outer(but not too much,or it would stick everywhere) it would be 6 star...

really nice case only let down by not having covers for the ports and the soct inner not being silicon rubber.
