We have a problem with cluster flies and this zapper works well. Good idea to buy a remote control socket, if it is going to be put on a shelf. The cable is short but we used an extension lead. The zapper makes a loud noise when it goes off but our dogs were not upset by it. The relief of coming home and knowing the room will not have loads of flies buzzing around is great. The customer service is good and delivery was prompt.

This powerful insect killer is exceptionally effective. It works better as the ambient light levels fall and insects are attracted to the UV tubes. It makes a surprisingly loud , yet satisfying crack or multiple cracks when an insect hits the electric grid and is killed. The collection tray is easy to remove. I certainly recommend this product. It has solved the problem of large numbers of flies that gather through the day in our open plan conservatory/breakfast room/kitchen, without having to resort to possibly toxic insect sprays.

Well, this does kill the flies in our kitchen, however, I'm yet to be convinced that the UV lamps actually attract them. Our flies seem completely unaware of them and even seem to prefer the top of the lamp as it's warm there (see photo). I placed the trap next to my Sonos One speaker, which the flies love as, again, its warm, but they seem completely immune to the lure of the lovely UV glow next to them. Maybe they just like Radio 2? Even in the dark they ignore it! So, the only ones that seem to get zapped are the ones who happen to fly into the grid accidentally. In summary, it's not the most efficient fly trap, but it does kill the stupid ones!

Works well. Definitely no issues. I have used this in the kitchen during the summer and have been happy with the results. Only issue here is wasps get stuck in it and once they are zapped need clearing. I used it in the loft in the spring as we have an issue with cluster flies. It has caught hundreds of flies as they come out of hibernation. Very good otherwise they end up in the house getting round the loft hatch.

The supplied tubes failed within a week. But when it works it works fine. Yes the high voltage supply is a bit noisy, but that’s not surprising for Chinese made cheap knock offs. The assembly is poor the screws are all over tightened and the threads stripped. The switch in ours wasn’t wired correctly so it was on or on. It’s a cheap clone of an eazyzap which is in turn a cheap clone of an insectocutor. If you’re concerned about quality don’t buy it - if you need a cheap insect zapper, buy it but expect it to be cheap quality and to burn through tubes.

Well as soon as I saw it it looked as if it was off Del boy fools and horses something not right but don't judge a book by its cover they say !!! It was worse it blew my electrics in house I thought it was my socket so checked it out and NO ts not he socket tried again then yet again blew checked the fuse in plug and this time all went off it blew the lot in the house Why did I keep trying ?????? Well I suppose I just couldn't believe that anything could be sent out like this I when then looking further couldn't se a BS standard the kite sign nothing my opinion its dangerous and I rang Amazon up I spent Saturday night sorting my electrics out absolutely disgusted

We live in a thatched property and like lots of fresh air so we get more bugs than most. This device certainly helps to kill them quickly and as humanely as we can. The alternative - to have various smoke devices smoldering away - is I think much less healthy for us. One critisism is that the cable should be longer - like other reviewers we have it plugged into an extension lead most of the time.

we live next to people how overflow their bins with food waste and dont put the bin out for collection or close the lid? so when we open our back kitchen door, lots of blue bottle flies come in from their dirty bins, yuk. horrible. bought this to zap um all. wow its amazing. and gives of some warmth, so the kitchen is warmer, bug free and lite up blue. Ace. warning, when a big bug goes in and gets zapped? my oh my it will make you jump if you hear the loud...POW. lol.
