Where do you stick this tape to in order to get an accurate rpm reading? the hub of the trimmer?

Any moving part that allows access and prevents injury. Ensure it is cleaned well so that relective tape will adhere and stay in place while getting your RPM reading, may need an extra hand to make it easier to obtain accurate reading.

How do i return these when iget them. thought i could but these on a golf flag stick for laser.

How sticky is the tape?

How doe one measure sticky without access to lab instruments? New tape doesn't fly off of a clean dry surface, and old tape may have dried out. If it really matters, best to glue plain tape to the object being measured.

No not for golf you placer 1 inch on fly wheel and with a tachometer you can tell the RPMs.
