Nice set for a beginner

**Does not fit CK17 flex head torch without modification** I read this in other reviews before I purchased so I won't take off stars for it. This is a great starter set, glass cups too large for aluminum welding unless you want to use a lot of gas. Again, this is not an issue with the product, but if you want glass cups for aluminum, buy the assorted size pack Instead so you get some smaller glass cups. That said, this is a decent guality set with a lot of parts for the price. CK 17 torch you have to enlarge the white rings to fit. I used a small barrel sander and a drill, worked great. Wet the o-rings before installing glass cups and they go on without pushing the o-rings off the diffuser.

This was definitely a one up compared to the standard Tig set up the gas lense and especially the glass cups help a lot when you're first starting to Tig weld at this price it's well worth it had mine for about a month I use it for about 1-2 hours a day just trying to build the skills to weld thinner metals with Tig , if you're starting out try the gas lense and stubby or glass cup it's a game changer

Decent starter kit works with CK-17 torches everything except the insulators (didn’t take any stars off because I knew they wouldn’t fit before I bought it because I read reviews)

So I'm a beginner to tig welding. Been tig welding for about 2 weeks now. I kept hearing about using gas lenses and stubby kits. And have wanted to pick one up but kept putting it off. Don't make my mistake GET THIS KIT NOW. This kit will greatly improve the learning process. Benefits are as follows. 1, better gas coverage over collet body. 2, reduced gas usage, ( more efficiently lays gas coverage ) 3, smaller components allows for more precision to get closer to material and allows for steady hands. 4, feels lighter. 5, Pyrex cups allow you to see a tad clearer. This kit comes with alot of different sized cups. This kit is very good quality. Comes with a plastic case. Remember, practice makes perfect no piece of kit out there will substitute for skill. This kit does at least for me helps tremendously. Also a little tip, if you have the big fat handled tig torch I highly recommend switching to a traditional torch ( wp26, wp9, some wp17f ) better grip and smaller profile

Was disappointed and about to return through item but then I found the clear cups can be used with the orings. Overall all the other components work on the CK17 except for the two white pieces that attach to the torch head. This is the only difference between the wp17 and the ck17 torch. Would need to buyba separate piece for my ck17 to fit the clear cups if need better support than the orings themselves the cup can wiggle slightly, so it depends what your doing if it'll work for you or not.

Cheap kit to get me started. Not an expert Tig welder so I'm still figuring out what works for me and what doesn't. Enough variety to try out a few things and see what's going to work best for what I'm doing. Can't really comment on the quality because I can't tell good from bad yet. In this day and age prices definitely don't always reflect quality I know for sure. For the bird poop, stuck tungsten, wasting gas welds I'll be putting down for a bit I'm sure this will work just fine for me.
