Parker 87R Men's Butterfly Open Double Edge Safety Razor - Delivers a Smooth, Close & Comfortable Shave

Parker 87r is very much similar to 70 years old GILLETTE ARISTOCRAT no.66, made in england. Very nice razor gives clean shave with minimum efforts. No nicks no cuts. As aggression level on scale of 1 to 10 i will give 5. Must have in your shaving den. 5star

Very well constructed TTO razer with a petite handle. It really is a shiny little device.Extremely smooth and slick on my day one stubble with minimal nicks using the Parker blade.Good for daily use. Ideal for Day 1-2 stubble.However, the best for daily use in my opinion still is the Parker Variant with zero nicks.

Expected a mild razor but it feels very aggressive. Build quality is good

This is a very bad product. It is harsh and aggressive on the skin and can easily get you multiple cuts. Stay away from this item. The butterfly mechanism is a gimmick. Lost money to a stupid thing, it doesn't open smoothly too.

One of the best you can get for the price. It's a full brass construction so it should last for at least one lifetime if not several when handled correctly.Nice and mild, good balance. Fantastic for daily shavers.

Hi,I received the Parker 87R today & delivery was as expected. Packing was good. I purchased this razor as my old one becomes rusty. After seeing many reviews & related items I decided to buy this.My review is based on the product & after shave with this razor. It can be used only for people who shaves regularly (with or without mustache) for a week or below.Below are my reviews-Short handle, can be kept a little long.-Price on higher side-It is remake of Gillette aristocrat but the original aristocrat seems to be good.-Quite heavy & sturdy-Can be used only for regular shavers. Can't be used for thick beard. One has to trim it before using.-The top butterfly is too close as the edge of the blades are almost covered in full & requires 2-3 times for smooth shave.-Comes with a super shark chrome blades of 5 no.s-No adjustment for the types of shave from 1 to 9 as it appears in old model razors.The razor is sturdy. Wipe off with clean & dry cloth after use as water remains causing damage to the razorI am giving 3 stars becoz the handle is short & there is no adjustment for shaves for this high priceOverall the product is good & recommended to buy.Thank you

This is my third safety razor. My first, about 10 years ago, was a Van der Hagen. It worked OK but I eventually lost it and bought a Merkur Mk34c that I hated. The Merkur was a cheap piece of junk that I returned. Now I have this Parker 87R and it's very nice. It has a good weight, very solid feeling, and feels great to shave with. I just used it for the first time and it gave me a close shave with no nicks. What else could you ask for!

This is a very beautiful razor, and i have been using it for a year now, and i realy want to love this razor, but it is just awefully build,The bad:- The doors does not close evenly, making the mechanism stick sometimes, so you have to loosen it, and then try to re tightening it again, hoping the parts lines up.- There is around 1mm of side to side play play, so the doors tent to get misaligned, due to this, your beard hairs get stuck/caught in the gap sometimes, so you end up ripping out some of your beard hairs, while shaving.- The Doors does not clamp down on the blade flat, since they curve very slightly, where they touch the front edge of the blade, this curves the balde, so only the midle does the shaving, leaving around 5mm on each edge doing nothing.- The "inner rod" (I do not know the name of this part) was cracked from day one that i recived it, this should have been caught by QA before it even left the factory, but it have hold up preaty well so fare.The good:- Its heavy, so it must be made from brass, and it does feel sturdy, once it is closed.- It looks preaty, and the chrome plating is top notch.so.. would i recomend the Parker 87R to anyone.. no... it is not worth it, it is just not made with enough care, to be worth it, since it cant even do its job properbly, especially compared to my old 1910 single ring surpasses this, in every single way, exept for Parker's chrome finish, thats sadly, the best thing about this razor.Maybe i just unlucky with mine, but to even let something like this slip past QA, is not acceptable, and not worth the risk or hassle, if you ask me.
