Perfect Gift
With beautiful presentation, and quality box to hold, the knife came in short time and quality. As the information provides, The knife is well crafted and sharpened, for all your cooking needs. Though i will not be the one using it, know it will get the job done and look sexy as hell doing it. though its pricey, it pays off it worth in craftsmanship and what you will cook with it.I bought this as a gift for my father, his 7th year of being alchohol free, and he spends his time cooking for the family and loves the outdoors. I wanted something for him that he can use, and keep in his collection of Bushcraft tools. The knife has a beautiful handle, and the Damascus sttel design fits so perfectly.Personally i wish the steel was darker so the pattern comes out a little more, but its still noticable in the light with each cut being made. a light steel sheen doesnt take away from its design, and its not just made for looks, so its mostly a biased opinion.Thank you Daddy Chef (great name) for a quality utensil and gift. Keep it up!

Lefty chef, comfortable and functional knife.
Wow, just plain wow. I am a professional chef and I have had problems in the past finding a knife that fits my hand well, that has proper balance, and will actually work for me without having to take it in to have the knife ground straight out of the box. I am a lefty, and some other brands of knives claim to be ambidextrous, but I found that many of them have a funky drag. Lefties will know what I am talking about...Back to this knife... No drag, comfortable, has a nice weight, very sharp straight out of the box, it's a pretty knife, and I will be buying other knives in the future. Next payday, I need to buy a new boning knife, so that is on my agenda. I am hoping that this will help to alleviate my knife callous issue on my index finger, I don't expect that it's going to make it go away, but I anticipate that it's not going to get any worse as the spine seems to be a little more tapered than my other knives. There are days when my hand just plain hurts. So, I will revisit this review and update in a few months.

To respect and pay attention when using your knife!
This is my very first “good” knife with all my others Walmart specials that were all frustratingly terrible! Finally broke down and found your knife and so glad I got it 👍😂💪!!! From the box it came in to the knife itself... I’ll just say that even just holding this knife I could FEEL THE STRENGTH of it: weight, balance, grip... and oh man O man, this is one SERIOUS knife! I sliced a wee bit of skin off my finger while testing the sharpness and let’s just say that any time I use this knife it will be with a whole lot of RESPECT!!! This isn’t just any Chef’s knife 🔪! This knife is also a work of art 😁...

Comparing and worried about quality?
I've looked at alot of knives online, and in big box stores. This is true to its claim at SURGICALLY SHARP, and beautiful beyond expected. I've used this for about 2 weeks solid, (dinnertime mostly) and has not hesitated yet. Amazing product, I took the time just to write this review because I'm so happy with it. I'm no paid review, and I dont write reviews often. The box is very nice quality, and just would be a stunning gift for any kitchen fan. The kind of knife you almost feel guilty for using because it looks like I need to have it on my mantle. If your worried about being ripped off, or the price vs. Others let me put it this way. You can find cheaper, and you can find pretty knives. You dont find this kind of quality for any cheaper. I stack this next to those $150-$300 knives anyday

Disappointed** EDIT: Great Customer Service!!**
My husband bought me this knife for my birthday in March and whilst using it today... a big piece of it chipped off. I bought a much cheaper knife three years ago and it’s still going strong. I’m very disappointed. 😓Edit:Daddy chef has reached out to me and offered to replace the knife under their warranty! Great customer service. Thank you!

This is way better than shun's, globals or many other japanese brands
I like knives. I like having them, I like using them, I like taking care of them. I decided to buy this one on a whim (a bit weird brand name, and made in usa alas don't usually call for quality this days, but why not). And the knife was AMAZING.This is the best 8 inches chef's knife I've held in my hand. Balance is amazing, the weight is just right, damascus is gorgeous, it slices a thrown tomato in the air - such a pleasant surprise. And cheaper than many competitors too.I can't recommend this enough. Stellar product on all counts!

Great Knife
This is a great knife! The other reviews are correct, this knife could probably be cheaper if it didn't come in a $40 box. This knife is super sharp out of the box and weighted very nicely. I use this constantly and I've only had to touch it up on the stone once in the year I've had it. Well worth the money!

WOW!
This Knife is very comfortable in hand, and the box it comes in is very handsome. Just used this knife over the Holidays for the first time all i can say is WOW! The only thing to watch for when using this is the lower back side of the knife corner has a very sharp point which could poke or cut you. Other then that, i find this a very nice knife. I think i will be purchasing the perring knife next!
