You get what you pay for
Decent quality for the price! There was some splintering but overall, good little uke!

What do you expect for $20?
This is just better than a toy, but it is a $19.99 ukulele. I got it for a fun gift for a friend and spent a few days tuning it in advance of giving it to her. By the end of the third day it was holding decently, but the strings are definitely bargain strings. If you want the cheapest way out on an instrument to play with and to take to places it might be abused, go for it! This one will get the job done! For myself, however, I bought a Donner tenor ukulele for $90 that is so far and above this one it is pretty sad. I have to say, though, learning to play the ukulele has made me so happy. So if $19.99 is your budget, go for it! Expect to spend a little more time getting it tuned correctly and possibly dealing with less than fabulous tone. The G on this one goes flat when played fretted, open is fine. It's really weird.

Impressive appearance and quality workmanship.
I gave it five stars because there was nothing wrong with ukelele. It was exactly as described. The ukelele is not at fault that I don’t know how to play it. Maybe after the three free lessons , that come with it, I may think I need a more professional ukelele. For a starter or for a gift it’s perfect .

THE STRINGS ARE TERRIBLE
I wanted a cheap little ukulele so I could learn I have some experience playing guitar but I still see myself as a beginner. As a music lover the honest truth is these strings on this ukulele are terrible. They are very bad. Like I have to retune the ukulele every 5 seconds for it to sound decent. And it still doesn’t sound all that great. If you’re seriously trying to learn ukulele you’re better off just buying a more expensive ukulele. The quality of the strings is extremely trash.

I gifted the Martin Smith UK-222-RD Ukulele in red to my 12-year-old during the holidays, and it’s been such a hit! The vibrant red color makes it look fun and stylish, while the quality of the sound is impressive for a beginner’s ukulele. It’s the perfect size for my child’s hands, and they’ve been enjoying learning and playing music with it. It’s a great introduction to the world of string instruments and has been a fun addition to their holiday gifts!

A nice uke for children. I purchased for my toddler grandchild who loves to play with our guitar and ukuleles and needed one of his own that I didn't have to worry about dents and dings. It's sturdy and nice looking, good value for the price. It has a decent sound. It took a bit to get the strings stretched out but that's typical. It stays in tune fairly well now until he plays with the tuning pegs. LOL If you are looking to learn or play uke seriously, I would invest in something higher quality but for children, it's a well worth the price.

Good price, quick shipping but it loses its tune very quickly. You adjust it and within minutes it sounds off tune and have to do it again. Needs different strings maybe?
