Can't beat this for the price
Very easy to install ...for those saying they needed instructions or was difficult to install hey probably shouldn't be working on their own vehicle. A little common sense and problem solving goes a long way. This took approximately 45 minutes to install and that's because I had problems removing my old MAF sensor from the existing air box. The adapter for the MAF sensor is just a small rubber boot on mine it was a little large to go over my existing MAF sensor but if you slowly tighten the clamp it will start to taper down and take shape. The filter is a very tight fit inside the new air box/heat shield and I will have to loosen up a few pieces the clean or change the filter. I would suggest to also add a pre-filter over this filter I think it'll help catch the smaller dust particles so they do not get into the air intake or oil the filter to catch the real fine dust particles. The clamps are very cheap be sure not to over tighten them just snug them up. I would replace the clamps with better ones. Its a quarter of the price of the K&N brand one, and it does the same thing

Works but needed some work/ items to be perfect (link in description)
This fit my 04 chevy avalanche 1500 z71 (5.3 engine). But the cuppling from the intake pipe to the mass airflow sensor didn’t work as it was too big and leaked. I bought a rubber adapter on amazon for $15 and it worked fine. Also the c-claps are crap and break while tightening so get better ones.I wrapped mine with silver heat conductive shielding tape thats avalable on amazon and should help with engine bay heat. I will probably buy a K&N filter to replace the one on here at somepoint. Here is the link to the correct Rubber cuppling that I needed: Spectre Performance 97411 Black 4" x 3.5" EPDM Coupler/Reducerhttps:// www.amazon.com/dp/ B005M1ZXH2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Du.2BbNMX7FC3(Remove the spaces at the / )Give it a shot

2002 Suburban Z71
Looks good, pretty solid material for the price, but it was a major pain getting it on and it came a little beat up. It in itself assembles great ! But the rubber insert ring where the MAF sensor inserts into was too big. It slid on, but wouldn’t tighten snug whatsoever. I had to go to my OEM intake and cut the old rubber insert off to apply to the new one, making a bridge between the two basically. As other reviews state, it will probably take some problem solving. I didn’t have to trim the fan or the fan shroud as other people state, I had about about a one or two inch gap between the intake and the fan itself. Other than the minor assembly issue, my only other complaint is the intake itself came scuffed, and the filter came a little messed up. That’s probably a carrier issue though. I’d definitely buy again as it’s made great for the price, just hope in the future it comes with the proper boot fittings.

Cold intake for cheap
Same unit that goes for 175.00 to 250.00 for far less money. I don't need no Ken and Nancy sticker to do the same thing. will heat rap the metal pipe to keep it cool in the engine compartment. for 50.00 you can't beat the same result as you get from the name brand junk. stock airbox with no oil high flow lifetime filter. total cost for this and filter 90.00 and it will flow just as good and pull cool air from the fender in my 5.3 yukon.

Good quality, better sound
I wound up getting the 4” to 3.5” step down as others mentioned and do think it looks like a better fit with it. Also someone mentioned getting heat wrap so I’ve done that as well with titanium exhaust wrap.Overall it gives a nice sound improvement with a noticeable throaty sound at 2-2.5k rpm in my 2004 Silverado 1500 5.3L v8. The rubber tubing was definitely touching the fan shroud which I cut back a bit easily with a utility knife. The thing does fit extremely tightly so make sure to leave all the clamps loose, add just the filter at the end by dropping it into the box and angling it’s while lifting the intake up a bit. Fits good and sucks a of air. It feels faster too but you never know if it’s just perceived speed.

Great deal.
For the money you can’t beat it. I have it installed on a 2005 Tahoe, my gas mileage has gone up 3 mpg avg. it’s a tight fit but it works great, will probably get a better filter. The coupling for the intake sensor is the wrong size, but I Put some exterior door seal (3”) on one side and then tightened the clamp and it works fine, need a correct size coupling but I got it rigged up for now. Good purchase although, I would buy again.

Bang for buck, buy it!
These guys did their research. Fitment was tight but easy enough. Directions were done really well, like something out of a hanes manual. Welds are beautiful. Only complaint is the box is only guarded to the inside of the engine. Open in the front lets rain in through the headlights. Something to consider. I put a piece of pvc sheet in the way, solved that problem. Air filter is HUGE. Good for air flow but made the fitment tight. Otherwise this is a great compromise for something name brand at 150$ plus for the same equipment

Almost great
Not a bad product for the price. Though the silicone part that contact the mass air flow sensor to the tube is not right. It needs to be a step down from a 4 inch to a 3 1/2 inch. The part that was supplied is to big for the MAF. Was able to use part of the old intake tube to work around it. Other than that the product works well and as described.
