Even a Sasquatch would like these
Bought this as gift for my skeptical Salt of the Earth Hubs who was not aware yet of the true superiority that is merino. His face dropped and I had to put his chin back into place when he asked How Much. I was utterly unfazed and ignored his protest. I easily got past his merino gear green inexperience and told him to ‘just try them because these will change your life’ with a grin. To put it short and sweet: He proceeded to basically only take them off to wash over the next five months. His only comment, actually Using His Words: he wanted another set. This, so he always had some clean and multiple weights so he could regulate better and choose depending on the weather forecast for the day he’d be out. I noticed his old synthetics were crumpled in the bottom of his gear bags when he’d come home. The merino were always within reach on top, and gasp, folded! High Praise from this man, folks. It should be stated he is THE case for the legitimacy of merino, and these extremely well priced merino sets: he is a heavy equipment operator that works outside on top of mountains in some of the most extreme winter environments on earth and loves it. For you, the reader’s purpose, let’s just agree to put aside the elephant-in-the-room Crazy Factor of that last sentence for now and stick to the underwear. All I can say in his defense is this world takes all types. That’s only important here to mention since he’s not a dude that sits around in it next to a cozy fire all winter sipping from a tea cup. (That’s my job, lol.) This set was put to a legit durability test and in incredibly harsh conditions and stood up. Once prompted for more detail, and translating out of his customary grunts, shrugs and sighs, he said [paraphrasing]: he stopped noticing whether or not his body was cold or hot since he was the perfect temperature all the time and stopped sweating whether in or out of a machine. He didn’t have to wear nearly as many layers in general. He didn’t have to strip ones off or put other ones on depending on where he was and what was happening nearly as much. He stayed warm even when outer gear got wet with frozen sleet driving and he had to move back and forth outside from truck to machine to truck. He wasn’t losing gear and other layers from job sites, trucks, machines or in the snow nearly as much either from stripping off and forgetting. The merino set remained odor free for an entire work cycle between washings so he reused them everyday. They stayed true to fit and didn’t stretch out of shape even wearing for long periods and for multiple days in a row. All day comfort second skin feel. No bunching in the armpits nor crotch. Ordered the 2XL, biggest they offer I think. He’s normally 3XL big and tall, so I wasn’t sure if these would fit but as a first or second layer snug is good. His back and shoulders can be a challenge to find proper fit for and I often tailor his clothes and gear, but these are perfect with long arms and a long torso design to accommodate various sizes and shapes. Spare to tuck in even! Fantastic!: This is important since he sometimes has to do mechanical repair on the fly. On top of a mountain on the machines, before this merino set, his lower back would sometimes come home chaffed and raw from cold exposure from these situations. A red burn from bending over with elements beating on him, not wanting to touch his clothes since his hands and outer gear coated with grease, tucking back is not a desirable option. The winds are basically trying to tear everything off so to have it stay in place and enough fabric to remain tucked in? chef kiss. Going into this next winter season depending on where he is going this year, we’ll get another set at a different weight. He said he wanted that versatility this time.

Exceptional Comfort and Performance!
As an outdoor enthusiast who demands the utmost from my gear, the Merino.tech Merino Wool Base Layer Men's Set has truly impressed me with its unparalleled comfort, performance, and versatility. First and foremost, the quality of the Merino wool used in this base layer set is outstanding. The fabric is exceptionally soft against the skin, providing a level of comfort that surpasses traditional base layers. What sets Merino wool apart is its natural temperature-regulating properties, keeping me warm in chilly conditions and cool when the temperature rises – a crucial factor during dynamic outdoor activities. The fit of the base layer set is impeccable. The tailored design ensures a snug yet non-restrictive fit, allowing for a full range of motion during various activities. Whether I'm hiking, skiing, or simply enjoying a brisk walk, this set adapts effortlessly to my movements, providing the perfect foundation for layering. Moisture management is where this base layer truly shines. The Merino wool wicks away sweat and moisture from the body, keeping me dry and comfortable throughout my adventures. Even during intense activities, I never feel clammy or uncomfortable – a testament to the superior breathability of Merino wool. I appreciate the thoughtful details in the design, such as flatlock seams that prevent chafing and a tagless label for added comfort. The durability of the fabric is evident, as the set has held up exceptionally well to repeated wear and wash cycles, maintaining its shape and performance. The versatility of this base layer set is another standout feature. Whether worn as a standalone layer in milder conditions or as a foundation for a more comprehensive layering system in colder weather, the Merino.tech Merino Wool Base Layer Men's Set adapts seamlessly to diverse environments. In conclusion, if you're in search of a base layer set that combines comfort, performance, and versatility, look no further. The Merino.tech Merino Wool Base Layer Men's Set has become my go-to choice for all my outdoor pursuits, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow adventurers seeking the best in quality and functionality. A five-star investment in comfort and performance!

Worth the money, long lasting, will keep you warm; Great base layer
These base layers have kept me warm over several winters now. Last winter, I wore them all the time. I took them to Finland, and they helped keep me warm there. They feel good against the skin. The pants have a couple of little holes in them, but they don't seem to be fraying. Great value, fits great.

You won’t regret this purchase
I don’t usually write reviews, and have been mostly unimpressed with how it seems like Amazon is slowly transitioning to Alibaba i.e. many “companies” creating products of questionable quality HOWEVER This Merino base layer is P E R F E C T. Absolutely warm and comfortable. Great thickness and weight. Looks super good and smelled absolutely fresh using it three days in a row skiing. It’s expensive but worth it. Wish I could buy four more pairs. Really is an outstanding product. Hopefully it holds up over the years.

Working for me
XLG 320 heavyweight blk. Set 6'1" 190 lbs. Winter in the Pacific Northwest has been bitter cold this year, and I wear an assortment of long johns made from various materials, but none made from 100% wool. The fit is loose (not a bunch up under your outer clothing), and the quality of the material and craftsmanship is better than most. The wool material is soft and not itchy; I have no complaints. The 320 heavyweights are thick and have noticeable weight; again, I have no complaints. The versatility of this set is unmatched, allowing me to adapt to any winter activity. I have worn the set for multiple days and nights with temps in the negative degrees, working on equipment, loading firewood, shoveling snow, and operating ATV for extended lengths of time, and have stayed warm through coffee breaks and meals. Typically, when wearing my other sets, I will have to change tops if I take an extended break outside in a nonheated building because I'm soaking wet, and the cold starts setting in. I didn't have a problem with this set. I recommend these over my silk sets since they are better at wicking away moisture and keeping me warm when damp. Hand washing is a pain, so I'll see how things work on the "hand wash" setting on the washing machine. By the way, black shows every dog's hair, lint fuzz, etc., that you can imagine. I give it a 4-star rating for now. I will update you on the durability and longer-term wear in a few months.

Best PJ/Fall/Winter Base Layer Set There Is!
I’ve bought multiple sets of these merino base layers at this point for myself as well as gifts and they are by far my favorite winter/PJ clothing articles I own. They are super comfortable for wool, which can often be itchy. They are tightly knit and have a good amount of stretch. The arm and leg cuffs have built in elastics that are super durable and great quality. They fit true to size and the material is a perfect thickness for balancing breathability and warmth. I highly suggest giving this set a try. I’ve had mine for multiple years at this point and they are still in great condition. TLDR: Buy these now. They are a bit pricey but their value is more than worth the price. And you also get free gifts!

Worth it. Good quality. Warm!
I have this in brown and in green. It is an excellent outfit. I read through countless reviews for other ones and you can just cut to the Chase and buy this set. It is not very attractive. I will tell you that unless you’re like a model. But it is so warm and if you wear a parka and some UGGs, it’s definitely something you can wear outside of the house. Throw a scarf on and it looks like an outfit. The chocolate brown is a very classy color and this green one I bought for my father, but my mother wears it. Lol. Excellent purchase and worth worth the money

Great base layer
I spend a lot of time outdoors in the fall and winter months hunting. This base layer is the best I have used in a long time. It kept me warm all last season and I expect it to do the same this coming season. As a senior citizen staying warm and comfortable outdoors is important to me. This base layer does the trick.

Perfetto

Great base layer
Quality merino base layer at a fair price. Used multiple times for hiking, skiing and water sports (kayaking, canyoning, rafting). Warm, breathable, quick drying and fits well. Couldn’t ask for more!

Very nice
Good fit works well can't get the discount from the voucher they send in the packet it's only for US and Canada I did try and email no luck with getting any discount, they should tell you that in the add. Shame I would have got more from them 😕

Far too thin material unfortunately.....
This initially seemed a really good price but unfortunately I guess you get what you pay for. I purchased the medium rating in grey and the top seems fine and washes well but I put the leggings on for the first time today and as I was pulling them up my fingers went right through the fabric 2 inches below the waistline and created a large rip about 3 inches long - I was gutted. I still wore them though in minus 6c and they were great and kept me really warm but I wont be wearing them again. Such a pity as they are attractive (as much as thermals can be) and do the job for sure in terms of keeping warm and and snug, but the quality on the leggings for sure has let them down.
