Thanking Amazon they were here. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I Expected Garbage and Received Gold *by V***. on February 7, 2016* 19 cents per pen... nineteen cents! 19 cents for 1-2 weeks of vigorous writing! These pens far exceeded my expectations - unlike pens of similar style, these will release a steady stream of thin ink that dries within 5 seconds. Once the ink has dried, you should have no problems with smearing or staining (unless the surface on which you are writing happens to get wet). I have noticed no problems with this pen's ink bleeding through to other pages. They do not behave like similary priced "cheap generic pens" in any way. If you asked someone to participate in a blind study of pens, I am sure that these Paper Mate pens would come out on top. After you have finished writing, and decide to put the caps back on, they actually stay in place - NO MORE LOSING MY PEN CAPS! A box of 12 of these pens will certainly last you quite some time. As long as you put the pen caps back on after you are done writing, the pen ink will not harden and clog the tip. If you do happen to forget to put the cap back on, a quick tip to make the ink flow again is to heat up the pen tip with a lighter for about 2 seconds (just try not the melt the plastic while you're at it). I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys buying outstanding merchandise for rock-bottom prices. Paper Mate, please do us all a favor and DON'T CHANGE A SINGLE THING!
