I have just received mine today, but I have used several times already, and it doesn't fault. In response to other comments about it being impossible to shake off the liquid back below the 36 mark - please take time to read instructions! The thermometer comes with two cases - white inner case and clear magnifying the outer one. To shake off the liquid back insert the thermometer into the inner white case, making sure the metal probe slides in to the hole at the end of the case, then holding the case by the other end (rounder ribbed holder), shake it several times. It won't work if you try to shake the thermometer inside the clear case. Overall happy with the purchase, and particularly the fact it's mercury free.

VedoecoPlus Glass thermometer🌡️ I found this kind of thermometer the most reliable one so far. It takes a few minutes to measure your temperature (7-10 mins in the armpit, less if using other methods), but at least it gives an accurate result. Made of glass, so can break but mercury free. Reading the result is easy putting it in the transparent outer case which works as a magnifying lens and the thermometer is easy to reset (shake) placing it in it's white plastic case.

Overall a good thermometer, but! The biggest problem with this product is the instructions, they're extremely tiny and hard to read and kinda vague. There's a very narrow viewing angle where you can actually read the temperature, otherwise the line is invisible, but if you slowly roll the thermometer side to side in your fingers you'll see the line pop into view once you hit the right angle. When you have it lined up well the line is very clear and readable, even in less that perfect lighting. The hard part is getting the thermometer to reset after taking your temperature. It takes a little effort and the instructions were kinda vague about how to do it, so here's the way I figured out works for me. The thermometer comes inside a transparent plastic tube, and inside the transparent tube is a white plastic carrier that the thermometer slots in to. This carrier is important! After you've taken your temperature and you want to reset the thermometer reading, slide the thermometer back down through the carrier so the bulb is completely down through the little hoop at one end of the carrier, and the fat end of the thermometer is a few centimetres away from the large diagnonal tab at the opposite end of the carrier. You need hold the carrier by the tab and swing it quite vigourously so first make sure you're not gonna accidentally hit anything with it, you don't wanna break it, and make sure the thermometer is correctly and securely inside the carrier. And don't let the carrier fly out of your fingers either, make sure you have a good grip! Hold the carrier by the large diagnonal tab at the end and rapidly swing the thermometer back and forth so centrifugal force will push the measurement liquid back down into the bulb. You REALLY have to woosh the thing for it to reset. The slight bendiness of the tab you hold it by helps you a bit, but you still have to really go for it. After a bit of experimentation you can get the reading to reset fairly quickly. Then when you're done push the thermometer a bit back up the carrier so the bulb isn't exposed and vulnerable, then slide the carrier back into the clear plastic protective tube. Once you get the knack it's a good thermometer, just a little difficult to figure out the first time. The quality seems good and it says Made in Germany.

After two different digital thermometers measured my body temperature of 35.4 degrees, I decided that I had enough of that and bought a classic thermometer. And... guess what? My temperature is 36.5! The downside is you have to sit still for 4-5 minutes, it could be difficult arrange with children

I bought this product two months ago. I was looking for a thermometer that wasn't digital (I've had some in the past and haven't find them accurate) and also mercury free. I know this brand and it's popular in Italy, so I decided give it a go. I used few times and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to use, you just need to follow the instructions, keep it for 10 minutes in the right place and try to don't move it. I was worried on being able to unload the temperature so to test it (used it 3 times almost consequently), as soon I read the temperature, I scrolled the thermometer still warm and it worked perfectly! I can say I'm satisfied of this purchase.

My thermometer didn't shake down the measuring fluid to below 36 C. The flick of my wrist was not strong enough to move the fluid. I solved the problem by placing the thermometer into the white plastic casing and then sliding it into the magnified clear tube. Push the thermometer from the top so the bulb sticks out from the bottom of the tube. Next, get hold of a sock with no holes in it, place the thermometer downwards into the sock, grip the end of your sock and get ready to swing the sock with power around and around. Make sure that other people stand well back. Swing it hard several times. Good luck.

Old school body thermometer takes time to measure body temp but is accurate. Also, built in magnifying glass in cover is a nice feature!

In sintesi, il Pic Solution Vedoeco Plus è una scelta solida e tradizionale per chi cerca un termometro affidabile, ecologico e facile da leggere grazie alla lente integrata. Se la velocità di misurazione non è la tua priorità assoluta e apprezzi la semplicità senza batterie, questo termometro analogico è un'ottima soluzione per la tua cassetta del pronto soccorso.
