StatTrak Address Manager

I lost all my addresses when I transferred from XP to Windows 7. I had saved them to a flash drive, but the info was not readable on Win 7. It all came out as garbage. Since my address list was only about 100 people, it wasn't a major disaster. But when I went shopping for a new address book disc for Win 7, no one had them. I got the same answer from everybody-- use "Contacts" in Windows Live. Well, I do use Contacts for my e-mail, but I wanted a stand-alone address book.StatTrak Address Manager was just about the only one I found for Win 7. And- if I had made a list of the features I wanted, I would have come up with exacty what the features are on this program. It's easy, fast, simple, no unnecessary (for me) bells and whistles. Easy to make labels and lists. Couldn't ask for more.

I was looking for something that was simple and easy to use. Turns out that this is old primate software that would not install on Windows 7 64 bit. Designed to work on XP, Vista and maybe Windows 7 32 bit. This will definitely not work on Windows 8 or 10. Save your money and keep looking.

I had been looking for an address book program that would print 2 pages per sheet (5.5 x 8.6) that would be cheaper than the fancier and expensive name-brand products. Address Manager offered a free downloadable trial version (5 items) that gave a realistic preview of the full product. You can enter items, choosing from a number of categories and even creating your own) including multiple categories (Friends, Christmas Card List, etc.) and also attaching people to the main entry (i.e. other family members, other employees at a business). When printing reports, you can print in some established formats (including labels) and even pick the fields you prefer for a more custom report. You Besides full sized pages and the half-page size, there is a compact size--however, you cannot specify a custom size. I didn't see a feature to print back to back pages that would line up. This is a basic program that is easy to use and economical.

Loading data from comma-separated-values was slick and easy. The "address types" is nice - enabling me to put each address into one or more cataegories. However, overall, I am not terribly impressed with this software. I think the navigation is clumsy. There is a "copy to clipboard", but this is not the widely used copy/paste function - there is no way to easily copy address or text from one box, and paste it to another. And the "notes" box is too small - it allows multiple lines of entry, but only 2 lines are shown at one time. I might buy this software again, but I would certainly look for alternatives.

Bought a new PC but cannot get Lotus Organizer 6.1 to work properly with the Windows 8.1 that is installed. Tried upgrades but they were no help either. Decided to go with StatTrak. It is easy to install and easy to use. It does not have all the capabilities that are in Lotus Organizer but enough of them to where it does a satisfactory job. I like the display which is nice and large and the convenient font size makes it easy to enter and to read the entries. All in all this is a nice address manager and the price is reasonable.

Very disappointed! The ad looked like it was a replacement for an old "Address Book" that I had. it even showed a report that looked looked my old one but was very disappointed you could not import my old files. It is a very basic address book and I would not recommend it.

Big help for those looking for an address book type program for the home computer. It is very user friendly and allows you to set up mailing lists for different uses. Our family is in the process of having two weddings in the same year and this was the only program that met my needs. The information regarding types of fonts and envelope sizes is impressive. The final results on the envelopes were professional looking. Its versatility and reasonable cost make it easy to recommend.

Their product did not start up in my equipment as expected. Sent them an email. They said that their programe "had some issues with AVG" and here is what I needed to do to fix it. Their fix did not work and I would have sent their software back for a refund but I am snowed in right now. I do not belive that it is my responsibility to make their software work. I feel that they should fix their product before they market their product. I will be returning the disk they sent to me for a refund when I am able to come and go on the roads. Harris.
