No place in the instructions or video do they talk about the communication strip that connect the electronics for the 2 halves together. While getting the old battery out (which was glued in pretty good) the strip dislodged from one side and would not stay in place afterwards which caused the Garmin not to work at all.

Great kit, good value!
The kit comes with the battery, an installation DVD, a small screwdriver, and a specially molded plastic tool that help in getting under the battery to get it out of the GPS unit. We did not watch the DVD but managed to replace and install the battery without much trouble. Well worth spending $30 to save my $150 machine.
