Should i use this with the thrive pump bottle?

That's a good question. Some say that if you are dosing the water column that the Caps aren't necessary. Some say to use them with deep rooting plants like Swords and Crypts and Dwarf Sag, etc. I happen to squirt the Thrive+ in my tank twice a week and if and when I first plant a plant that has roots, I usually bury a Root Cap to jump start the roots. Did you happen to see the photos of the Crypt on NILOCG.com website ? He does a comparison of his Plant Caps vs. the Seachem Root Tabs and shows the difference in growth. Best to you in your decision.

Is 2 inches to much for a carpet i see saying every 6 but i want them to grow in nice an thick?

Go with the reccomended dosage. Depending on how deep your substrate is and what kind this and other root tabs can leach out into your water column and if your dosing ferts in your water column you have potential for algae breakouts. Try with six inches first Waite a month and see. You can always add. Hope that helps. Remember with plants need to be patient.

I have been using these for a month, maybe six weeks, and my water is so cloudy. These are the only change to my tank, will this clear up with time?

They should not cloud your water assuming you push them down to the bottom of the substrate and you dont disturb them too much. It definitely should not cloud the water for size weeks. What color is the water? Sounds like maybe you have a bacterial bloom?

I love these capsules. They don't dissolve like the API ones while you're trying to get them in the substrate. If you pinch them and let the air out, they do not float. I've been using these about 3 months now, and have not had any come back up. My plants are all looking very healthy and green, and are growing much faster now. Also super cost effective!
