The photos are false advertising.
The photos are false, the chrome coating is just like Osram, which means it dose not totally block the orange reflection. They are fine but since the Osram are identical and $6 cheaper (I have them also) I would just buy the Osram if I had to buy again.

much cleaner look on my e39 rear turn signals
slight hint of orange, still better than using the amber bulbs.....when turn signal is on it's actuall more yellow than amber, which is pretty cool

Still shows orange...
Put in a the front headlights of a 2011 Mini to de-tango it. Unfortunately looking straight at the car, the bulbs still plainly show orange, which is very disappointing considering the price!I suspect it is down to orange showing through at the base of the bulb, where it goes in to the metal connector, which subsequently gets reflected by the chrome within the headlight surround.Solution.... make the silver coating completely cover the bulb Philips!

NOT Silver.....
Silver Vision is a misnomer here....I chose these bulbs for a number of reasons...firstly the price. Its the most expensive so its got to be good, right ?Then the name of the product - 'Silver' vision. The image of a mirror silver chrome-like bulb. And finally, the name Philips, a world class company - founded in 1891. Invented the CD you know.....Well, what do we know ? Firstly the advert image is clearly a mock up, probably entirely computer generated and not a photograph of the actual bulb. Now, firstly why would they do that ? I mean, why go to the effort of a Computer Generated Image if its as simple as just taking a picture of the bulbs - unless of course its in a deliberate effort to deceive.....The name of the product is also designed to give confidence by the inclusion of the word 'silver'.Really ? Can any product be trusted ? Even a relatively expensive item from a trusted manufacturer ?Shame.

Maybe pricey, but these do improve the appearance of the light cluster.
I have a fun roadster that has frosted lenses on the rear and used the hideous orange painted lamps for indication. These bulbs deteriorate after a while dropping orange flakes, and the orangey blob visible through the lens is pretty naff. So, I thought I'd take a punt on these to see how they faired.Direct fit, no horrid blob when off but lamp produces a nice and bright orange flash in use.Not much else to say, other than puzzled why some folk have made a point regarding the colour of the bulbs in the blister pack. The glass of th bulb does has a slight tangerine tint to the silvered finish, however this is NOT evident once fitted and the rear clusters in my car definitely have a nicer, cleaner look with these in place of the naff painted bulbs. So far then, happy with the purchase, only rated four stars though, as I've clearly no idea yet, as to their longevity. Will more than likely upgrade the other indicators too.

Stealth silver then amber!
Good bulbs to help de-tango a vehicle when amber bulbs are in use. With clear lenses all-round, a useful and relatively cost-effective option to remove any amber from a vehicle. Swap and instantly see a silver / clear look. But flash amber when the task is called for. Nice.Too early to talk about longevity, and a tad pricey in November 2021 for a pair at GBP 12.00.They do look nice though!

Fully Silver with a very slight orange tinge
Seems these get mixed reviews as to whether they are fully silver or silver capped. The set that I received were fully silver coated, but they do have a very slight orange tinge.Check the photos. These are a before and after shot. Fitting took a couple of minutes, it's worth noting that the pins are offset so make sure these will fit your car before ordering. All in all I'm very happy with them, they are nice and bright when indicating and I think they do get rid of that horrible orange hue.
