Great product
I used Acid 8 on several fabrication projects where bare steel is welded and sanded. I cleaned with lacquer thinner and sprayed Acid 8 followed by Raptor Bed Liner spray. Never had any issues with adhesion and the finished project looks great. Some projects are 3 years old and stored outside in the North East with no rust.

Works well on bare aluminum
This etch primer worked very well as a base for raptor liner spray. I touched up some areas with rattle can primer and had much poorer results.

Easy to shoot
Seems to be a Great product as with any coating time will tell. I shot this out of a 1.5 and it laid down great. Degreased then primed these awnings and finished with raptor spray in bedliner. Will use again.

make sure you order enough it doesnt go very far
This product is awesome. It goes on great. I didn't thin it and used straight out of the can. I first used a hvlp gun but ended up switching to a syphon gun. I got a lot better results with the syphon. The hvlp just wasn't working that well for me as I was doing whole fenders carried down to the metal. The material lays well and covers very well. Just make sure that you order enough material as it doesn't go as far as I would have thought.

Good prep primer on aluminum
Put bedliner on deck of aluminum boat. This primer gave me perfect basecoat for spray-on bedliner.

no rust, no raptor liner flaking ... great product
used on 3/16" armor skid plates for my OHV. used a grinder to remove surface rust, cleaned with drug-store isopropyl, applied 1 coat of this primer with a cheap paint brush, let dry 1 day, painted with Raptor Liner, let dry for 3 days ... 6 months later, no rust, no raptor liner flaking ... great product

Highly recommended to me by professionals.
It will be years before I know how this primer has actually performed (I hope!), but I have high hopes for it! I'm painting a couple of aluminum duck boats that can expect to see abuse. Be prepared for some serious off-gassing, but I bought a quality filter mask from Home Depot and it works fine. I'm also being very protective of my eyes given the "acid" component. Key is preparation: Wipe down w acetone, sand with 220 grit until all shine is gone, wipe down with acetone again until rag comes away clean. Then you can start spraying the primer!
