This little thing is awesome for all sorts of things around the house
This little thing is awesome for all sorts of things around the house. This had more power than I though it would, so I was able to use it on more projects than I thought. My main reason for using it was to work on electronics with a precision bit adapter. It worked pretty great, but it is not delicate, so you will have to be very careful when screwing little screws in to not strip them. I just held the screwdriver lightly in my hand so that once some resistance would occur, it would spin the screwdriver and I'd know when to stopNot a con enough to dock any stars from it, but there is not charging or current charge indicator. I've been able to use it moderately for 2 or 3 weeks and it never ran out of juice.

This is the second one
I had to replace my older Screwdriver, but this model came in so handy. I bought this a second time. I could not bring myself to buy a screwdriber that uses Alkaline batteries. I just know I'd have to replace them every time I needed the screwdriver.I also bought a 20V Drill/Driver. The DP240 model is great for those small tasks and I still grab this one first. I found a chuck for very small drill bits, that fits into this tool.

Always ready to do the job.
I'm prone to tendonitis, and my wrists get sore quickly when I have to drive more than a couple of screws, so having a powered screwdriver is a real help.Providing 26 inch-pounds of torque, this DP240 model is a little more powerful than than the AS600, at 20 inch-pounds. A little faster, at 150 vs 130 rpm, and much lighter, at 9.6 ounces vs. 16 ounces (one pound). What convinced me to get this one in spite of its higher price ($22.96 vs. $11.95 here at Amazon) was the fact that I can just plug it into the wall socket and know that it will be charged and ready whenever I need it.The other model, the AS600, requires four AA alkaline batteries. When they lose power or go dead, I might not have enough fresh ones on hand, and would have to drive to a store and buy some more. The cost of a few sets of batteries will eventually eat up the $11 price difference. I'd rather pay the difference up front, and know that the screwdriver will always be ready for me to use.

A cordless screwdriver for light-duty only
While this screwdriver does have one amazing feature, the direct-plug charger, it simply does not provide enough torque for anything other than light applications. I purchased it to assemble an off the shelf MDF desk, and the screwdriver performed a bit disappointingly. The driver itself is built sturdy and should hold up well to use, but on several occasions, it failed to drive a screw into the sturdiest portions of the desk. The direct-plug is again a standout feature and makes recharging very convenient. The lack of cords, chargers or batteries enables it to be stored and charged anywhere. The screwdriver is not charged when shipped and the initial charge time is quite long(I charged mine overnight.) The lone disadvantage of the direct plug system is the inability to swap out batteries. If you have an extensive job planned, be prepared to stop completely if the battery runs out. There are several better choices on the market if you need a heavy-duty cordless screwdriver. For any small assembly/disassembly tasks, this driver will work but you shouldn't expect to drive screws more than a couple of inches at most before the tool bogs down.

Good driver
I like the plug being in the handle instead of having to have an external charging unit. Unit has pretty good power for an inline unit with little in the way of gear reduction. I only gave it a 4 cos it doesnt have torgue setting head adjustment like most drivers have but with the built charging feature I give it a 4. Not too big or heavy, controls easy to use.

This is a great tool for smaller jobs. Simple to use and very effective.
This is a great tool for smaller jobs. Installed a spice rack on the wall easily. I haven't tried using it for bigger jobs, but for quick access and jobs that are in smaller spaces, this works extremely well. Simple to use and very effective. DONT BUY IT! GET SOMETHING ELSE!
I normally write good reviews especially when I am happy with a product and it performs as advertised, but, in this case I will not. Save your money on this item. This item failed on me in less than a month. I was very disappointed! This item will not charge and therefore, does not work at all. I was very patient and let it charge for two days. I went back and the results were the same. It does not work. Normally, one would think that a Black & Decker product would have decent reliability. But not this one. And, since I am not able to return it, it will have to be replaced. All it takes is one bad experience to sour a person on a product with no relief.

manageable driver for small screws and this is great: it does not tear up the screw head
I have a big high voltage driver ths is TOO much, I wanted a low torque, manageable driver for small screws and this is great: it does not tear up the screw head, and the wood, ps I always tighten the last few turns by hand for more control; great price, well made and recharges fast

So far so good.
It's a cool little gizmo. Easy and convenient. If you work on computers or other things with small screws, its very handy and makes things go much faster.
