Does this puree use San Marzano tomatoes?

Ciao, and thank you for your interest in our Tomato Puree. This product is made from Italy's finest "Rotondo di Parma," or round tomatoes from the Emilia Romagna region. If you are looking for true San Marzano tomatoes, approved by the Cosorzio, you can find those here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078TYQC97. Grazie!

How about a replacement for item damaged prior to shipping? I paid quite a bit for this product and one of them was broken. The box had no damage.

I had the same problem. Just one bottle broken. Amazon refunded me for the one bottle. I had to wash the sauce off of the others.

Are any of the Mutti tomato products (sauces, etc) prepared by peeling and de-seeding the tomatoes first?

Ciao, and thank you for your interest in Mutti tomatoes! Yes, our Tomato Purees (Passata) are made by removing the skin and seeds of the tomatoes. The result is a velvety smooth, naturally sweet base for soups, sauces, pizzas, Bloody Mary's, and many other dishes.
