Awesome little walkie talkies for littles.

I guess I should have known just to look at these, but man, they are not good. First off the audio quality for these is terrible, even for a cheap walkie talkie. It is very echoey and quiet. To change the batteries you need a tiny screw driver and then you need to buy and put in 4 little watch batteries, which you most likely don't have just laying around the house like some AA or AAA batteries. Lastly, the batteries don't always make good contact with the connectors, so even if you have fresh batteries in them, they don't always work. Bummer. My son still liked playing with them for about a week or two, but now they are just junk taking up space.

One set didn't even turn on. Bought a 2nd and you cant hear when someone's talking half the time it just makes a crackling sound

So we had a set of these and we tried them out in the house. They were very difficult to understand so you had to hold the walkie talkie pressed against your ear to try to understand the other person... and then an earsplitting squawk would come over speaker and potentially damage your hearing and definitely scared my kids.I have since learned that LED lights can cause interference and since we have filled the house with LEDs then it could just be the combination of these radios with the lights. But we tossed them before trying too many experiments. The squawks were frighteningly bad and I didn't want to traumatize the kids. If i had a set now I might try them outdoors before tossing them but be warned.
