It is certainly hot enough if you like it black. I always take mine with hot milk and that makes it perfect for me. I love my Senseo machine. **Q: Adjustable spout height?** A: The spout is not adjustable .It is not needed witha normal jug or cup . Excellent machine . **Q: Is this senso coffee machine compatible with non senso pods in supermarkets. My old one had only one button to make the water hot (on&standby/off). The actual version will heat exactly the water that I want : short espresso, long, 1 cup, 2 cups, based on the combination of buttons. More of it, I have bought a coffee duck from a different manufacturer, on Amazon that allows me to use ground coffee with this machine: any ground coffee, any amount that I want. Very pleased with I it. I hope I'm not going to overdose on coffee, though, now. LOL. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only has European two pin plug fitted *by M***K on 25 November 2024* Brews good coffee, easy and clean to use with no coffee grounds getting everywhere.
