Torbot Skin-Tac Liquid Adhesive Barrier [4 Oz] (Ea-1)

For those who struggle to make their costly CGM sensors stat put for even a full seven days without having to ratchet strap the things to their skin, this stuff does the trick! For anyone who sweats during a day of hard laborous work. For swimmers, runners, and anyone who doesn't want to be wasting their money away on stupid looking stickers to put on overtop of the stupid sticker of the sensor that just doesn't stick. A single layer of this stuff lasts the whole 10 day sensor session of my Dexcom G6 CGM, and even at that point I will end up stretching the sticky Skin-Tac goo like Stretch Armstrong when ultimately swapping for a new one. The sensors might work for sedentary slackers, but for those working and sweating every day either by way of our skilled labor or strenuous exercise, they don't stand a chance once you add in the showers to scrub clean. Once I used this stuff that all changed, like night to day. The cost is so minute and the amount of trash/waste so much less that it deserves it's own silly ESG score for sustainability. To give a little context as to what I mean, if you can recall a time ever staining some sort of lumber after sanding it, the amount of wood stain in onr single brush stroke is more than enough to apply a second layer of this stuff for added stickiness. I received my bottle with about a 2½ year shelf life marked on it from the manufacturer and if I only use it one time for each sensor I don't think I'll make it through half of the bottle in that timeframe. With that said, I do apply an additional layer after the first once is tacky. I also will use it for giving a bandage that may be in an awkward position to stay put a much stronger hold as well. I know they make even stronger stuff for medical institution use, however the cost of that is astronomical in comparison, and if you need more hold than Skin-Tac, then you might need to just have a surgeon sew whatever to your skin permanently at that point. This stuff works, doesn't have much of a smell (a faint solvent smell from the isopropyl alcohol and rosin that are its ingredients but nothing even remotely close to what a painter is going to have to clean his brushes with), and is sensibly priced to be a great solution for this needing to stick stuff to their skin and have it stay secured without straps ;)

This should come free with glucose monitors. It's the only way they stay on. This is a well known product amongst diabetics. I glue mine on, then glue a bandage over that so I don't catch it on anything, but you don't need to do all that. The glue will keep it on for weeks, even if you take long baths. And when it's time to take it off, it pulls right off and the glue dissolves easily with rubbing alcohol.

No matter what myself or anyone who has tried does , this lid will not come off the bottle for nothing ! Makes me believe it has something to do with the sticky liquid, so I have not been able to try. I did however reach out to the company ,more then onece, via email for help with this issue , I have not heard a peep back from them ! Maybe now that it's a review for all to see I can get some help! 🤞🤞🤞🤞 Seller contacted me via email. Asked for my address and sent me a new one , that I could get open👏👏👏 I have not tried it yet. Have to wait until it is time to change my site. Will update. Update , this product does work amazingly ! The only thing is I highly suggest always having TacAway ! the sticky is very sticky and I can not find anything else that takes that away , even alcohol don't work ! But tacAway takes all the sticky you don't want away , even when removing your site , works wonders ! Thanks again to the seller for making this right

This is my initial review of skin-tac. I'm new to using a cgm and am having issues getting past 5 days. Alot of this seems to be related to adhesion loss of the over patch and the sensor. I always apply to the back of my arm as recommended and use alcohol to clean the area. Even run a razor over the back of my arm. First, i tried a better overpatch with very little improvement if any. I was hesitant at spending $15 for skin-tac since I feel that all required accessories should be included to securely apply the sensor for 10 days. Well today on day 3, it happened again, sensor signal loss which did not recover, causing me to replace the sensor. I really think the oem glue is not strong enough. The sensor will lift causing this to happen. Today it just so happened that my order of skin-tac arrived. Perfect timing to test it out. After running a razor over the back of my arm and using alcohol to clean the application area. I like the ball applicator over a brush. Makes it much easier to apply. First I applied skin-tac over the oem adhesive of the sensor. Dont get any on the needle. Wait about 30-45 seconds then apply the sensor. Press on the center of the sensor for 15 seconds and around the edges. Next, apply skin-tac around the sensor where the overpatch will go. Wait 30-45 seconds for the adhesive to tack up. Carefully apply the overpatch. I can tell right away that everything stuck much better than without skin-tac. Now let's see if I can get to day 10! I'll update later. The liquid skin-tac looks like a better value than the wipes. Still kinda expensive for what it is. Update: Success, The CGM went the whole 10 days without lifting. The edges stayed secure. Removing the sensor took a little bit of effort versus falling off before skin-tac.

Works wonderful if you're a heavy sweater. It helps my medical equipment stay attached.

This is a great addition to our medical supplies. This is used for cgm sensors. This helps the sensors last the 2 week application. This will last a very long time. The applicator is nice for quick application and the dry time does not take long. The wipes are nicer for portability but this is a much better "value". This does help if experiencing skin adhesive irritation

Used it for years it works. Easy to remove. Helps when sweating water proof. Get fresh after exp date.

3 star because it leaked everywhere during shipment. Packaging was in good shape but product still leaked out. Its VERY sticky. Even spray cleaner hardly got it off my counter tops. We tried it at the beach and it held up great.

After my daughter switched to an insulin pump, we ran into a frustrating problem: two Omnipod pods came off her skin before they were supposed to. We decided to try this adhesive, and it has made a huge difference. The applicator makes it easy to apply a thin layer exactly where it's needed. We simply let it become tacky before attaching the pod, and it provides excellent adhesion. Since using it, her pods have stayed securely in place, giving us much more confidence that it will last the full wear time. Although we purchased it specifically for her insulin pump, it would also work well for keeping a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) securely attached. If you or your child has trouble with insulin pumps or CGMs coming loose, I highly recommend this product. It has been an excellent solution for us.

I've been an ostomate for six years now. I keep very active and sweat a lot. Not a good combination for someone wearing a flange/waffer. When the outside edges start to curl it's time to use a good medical adhesive. I've tried different kinds to no avail. This one does the job... for me. I just wonder thought, why does it take so long to get it delivered. Isn't there some body that could make something this good in this country?

Would highly recommend this if you are using any kind of glucose sensor. Was having trouble with them falling off early and have not had 1 fall off since using this product. Been using it for maybe about a year and the bottle is still almost full.

Effective, though not quite as strong as the Hollister spray adhesive was.
