I recommend itIts very useful for who is in high intermediate level of english languagebook should be with CD and cd is very important

I like this book. It contains many assignments. There are oral and written tasks every lecture. I think this book is a great tool in TOEFL preparation.

I think this book is good when it comes to improving your skills.The difficulty is average and everybody who had learned english in school before should be abled to learn and improve.I think it is really helpful that CD`s are added and that you can check the answers in the back.If you try to learn the schemes and structure of notes and how to create a good outline it will make it easier for you to succeed in the actual TOEFL test. I bought this book, because it was a requirement for my college lesson but I really think it is possible to do it on your own.As I said, if you have at least the knowledge about grammar and average voc. skills.Somebody who corrects the written parts would help a lot.4 Stars because I didn't learn much more. But I still improved in my writing technique und my classmates learned a lot.

nice used book. it's almost like new i think. and the price is ver low. i like it. but the shippment is slow

Buyer beware, this book does not include the CDs and to be a full training tool, it needs the audio. It's not the fault of the shipper, since they're shipping exactly what's posted, but more the fault of the publisher for not deciding to include the CDs at an affordable price. I teach English in a third world country and - though I love the NorthStar series, having bought other books that included the audio - find that to get the audio in addition to the book, the price is appalling. I'm not really sure who their target audience was in pricing these items, except for maybe Russian oligarchs.

Very helpful as an adjunct to my current college course. Recommended by my teacher and all other students who have previously used this.

It is good for building skills for "English", such as structure of passage.In my opinion, if you wanna get more practical skills for TOEFL, there are other proper texts, such as DELTA's one.
