No twist no slide. Even on renthal motorcycle bars that have to have grips wired on. These grips are a larger diameter for more comfort. They are soft but not gummy/sticky they are great. I put these grips on everything. Review: Just like my mountain bikes...but on my VFR - Same as in mountain biking, I don't understand why slightly wider grips aren't more common and popular. Oury is about the only game in town for this width of grip on pedals. Glad they're also producing sport bike grips too. Before this, I was getting the "ever so slightly wider" version of Sport Grips, etc. These are suitably wider without being odd cruiser grips or somerthing. For reference, I wear medium to large gloves depending on the manufacturer and still find standard grips just too narrow. These are terrific. Also, they're the right level of tacky so when you're cruising it's very easy to hold the throttle just so with your palm and rest a bit. As far as installing, punching a hole in the closed end is all that's necessary for standard grip bikes that have end weights (are there any that don't?). The length was exactly perfect on my 2002 VFR, and the usual hairspray was all that was needed. Couple months later they're not slipping and they remain very comfortable.
